Clean and presented to high standard the staff are a great at customer service and having visited here for my sisters would I would recommend it to others

It's now a Wedding Venue but what a magnificent building, wonderful grounds and wonderful lake, well worth a visit

Had sparkling afternoon tea here, was quaint little room with a nice view of the park. All items served were delicious (homemade scones were warm and tasty), unlimited warm drinks and a small bottle of bubbly each. Ben who waited on us was very friendly and attentive. Was a great way to spend the afternoon

Attended a wedding here just a few weeks ago . Held in The Salon, a carefully & beautifully restored room in the Georgian Mansion. Lovely antique desk was the focus of the ceremony with a very tall window to one side flooding the room with light. Absolutely delightful

We met for a friend’s special b’day for Afternoon Tea (this friend had been before and recommended it)
The venue and ambience was nice, however the scones were somewhat disappointing as they were hard! We did point out to George, our waiter and they were replaced! It appears they were a bad batch and George advised they would be ‘binned’
Also dont think the choice of cakes were particularly enticing and again George offered us a different choice and gave us some carrot cake to take home to make up for the disappointing scones!
George was very obliging and friendly and polite and made our afternoon enjoyable!

We had afternoon tea at the Fleur de Thè tea room in Danson house,it was a very positive experience which we enjoyed very very much, the sandwiches and scones were lovely and fresh, and the cakes were delicious......the service was great and our waiter George was extremely polite, professional and friendly, we will definatly come back again sometime.......

I must advise that the house is open for tours on Thursdays between 10 am and 4 pm (last entrants at 3:15) - all other times it is closed to the general public. I believe it is a council restriction as like anything else it all boils down to costs
Costs as at January 2020 are £7 per adult or half price for English Heritage members.
I cannot speak highly enough of the guided tour of the house. Built in 1766, the guide had some fascinating stories to tell of the history of the house and you just cannot be disappointed by each room that you go in. When you arrive at the top floor, the layout is just astonishing. It also has an elevator that can be used for people with walking disabilities.
I am so glad that I went today. It would not appeal to young children though as I think that they would get bored easily as its history, rooms and architecture gives it the "well worth a visit" status and kids would not be keen on this early in their lives. (my opinion only).
There is a tea room. Very nicely laid out and the tea was excellent although slightly expensive as was the food. My friend had food and he had no complaints. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service was excellent. (they do not make the prices). However overall I was happy to pay as like everything else - I would miss it very much if it was no longer there. The toilets were very clean. Another thing that I feel is important in a place where you can spend up to 2 hours (tour plus teas after)
As an English Heritage member I would definately take another friend there if the person had not been there before.

A wonderful surprise! Delightful rooms and lovely informative room stewards. A really lovely visit and I will certainly be back for the full tour.

There is a disabled lift available, so yes the venue is suitable.

I attended a ceremony as a guest for a wedding at this venue. You cannot just roll up there without prebooking with The Registrar who will advise you of the documentation required such as proof of identity such as birth certificates and passports
What do I need to bring a long with me to give notice of my marriage

It cost £7 but if you are a member or the National Trust it's half price.
