Just home from a short weekend break at glenariff forest caravan park. Very impressed with how clean the site was and the onsite facilities are spotless. The kids had a ball on their bikes and the ranger we met on arrival was very helpful. We also did the waterfall walk, on talking to other caravanners they advised we drive down to the lodge restaurant about half mile down the road and walk from their to the waterfalls as we have a 6 year old and a 3 year old. They managed the walk no problem but can be slighly slippy under foot at times. Only criticism I would have would be possibly making play park on campsite a little bigger with more things for children to play on. Other than that it's a great site. Will definitely be returning.

2nd visit with touring caravan to this site. Well operated and very clean. Friendly Warden/Ranger. Shower and toilet facilities were excellent. The big let down was the midges on both occasion. Totally invaded preventing outside enjoyment. My group Arrived home after 2 day stay with multiple midge bites. Probably best to visit in colder weather.

Glenariff was our first trip away as a family with a trailer tent.
It was a lovely, clean, well cared for and quiet site with great amenities.
Toilet block has individual shower cubicles as well as individual units with a basin and hairdryer. Very clean.
There is a small park on site. I thought the kids would get bored of it, but we were there for 4 nights and they had no complaints!
The views are magnificent and the site is very peaceful.
Every site has its own water tap, tv aerial and 2 electric points.
There's a café and small gift shop on site. The café does breakfast, lunch and dinner. We had a small fry. It had 7 pieces, don't know what size the large would be! The ladies in the café were lovely and very helpful at recommending local places to take the kids.
The warden was lovely and did his rounds every evening, making sure all cars were meant to be there, and that everyone had paid for their booking, which was very reassuring and the site felt very safe.
As reported by others, there were midges in the evening, but that's part and parcel of camping in a forest. We took bug spray and citronella candles and weren't too badly effected.

Lovely views from the campsite which is located adjacent to the facilities for the Forest Park. Automated booking and entry system which is useful. All pitches are identical. They are well-facilitated, with water on each pitch. The communal facilities are decent and very modern. Others have commented on the menace of midges. We had them too, and likewise had to spend the evening indoors. But we are in the middle of the forest and it was autumn , so midges really are to be expected if the weather is damper

Book online and you'll be sent the key pad number for gate to let yourself in. The views are awesome. Small park too. Toilets clean and showers free to use with hair dryer too. Only small annoying flies on are last night. Do bring a candle or spray just encase.

We went to caravan site on Friday evening past 23 June. We set up and got our grandchildren settled. They went to play in the park and then it started to rain and oh my goodness, the midfield flies ascended on us and stayed. I mean you wouldn’t believe it unless you witnessed it. Our bodies were completely plastered in them. We had to bring the kids in and stay in. Next morning it was no better, so we decided to come home. My poor wife is bitten from head to toe and so were the grandkids. It would have been nice if the forest park had put a warning on their website about these flies at this time of year so we could have decided whether to book or not. We won’t be back that’s for sure

It’s 10pm on a beautiful Saturday evening, the campsite is surrounded in stunning views, and we are all stuck in our campervan as we can’t sit outside because the whole site is swarmed with a plague of midges… the site is fully occupied, and there is not one person out anywhere because if you step outside you are eaten alive… though we have been kept occupied all evening killing midges inside our campervan.
We did get an hour sitting out late in the afternoon which was sadly spoiled by a family kicking two footballs about without much care as to where they went, and had to move pitch as got fed up with the van being hit by their ball…
Thankfully the company we are with is fabulous.
A great shame… sadly we won’t be back.

Lovely campsite with immaculate facilities & gorgeous views. We really enjoyed our two night stay in this campsite. Bring citronella candles- people aren't exaggerating about the amount of midges in the early evening! We couldn't get any tv signal so maybe download some programs for rainy days. The waterfall walk was much longer and steeper than we expected but worth it and there's a pub at the end of it.

Beautiful place but was very disappointed with facilities. Stayed here in a tourer 2 years ago - had never used such clean, lovely facilities. Recommended them to loads of friends. However on this occasion I was disappointed. Toilets were clean but no toilet roll at times, no hand soap in containers, only one small hand wash for 3 hand basins, empty at times. The showers were filthy, stuff lying in the corners, I was very reluctant to use them. Floors were grubby - Such a difference from 2years ago.
The wardens were lovely, very helpful at all times.
Scenery and waterfalls beautiful. Would love to stay again if facilities were improved.

Stay early July 2020 with out three young children. We had a great time. Campsite is very well looked after. The toilet/shower block was spotless with underfloor heating. Ideal location to explore the forest and waterfalls. The only negative we have is that we were devoured by midges so I’d definitely recommend bring insect repellent. We’d definitely go back though.

I notice someone mentioned that you need a TV aerial extension cable. How long does the cable need to be?

5 m I think would do it. Just depends where your tv is situated.
Bring bug spray with you when you go or citronella candles to keep them at bay!!
