Nice place but the walk was to much with no facilities for old age or disabled. Kids enjoyed. A location outside the park was recommended which was a wwf site but when we went it was told that the present government had closed it for public. So we were not allowed inside with cars but we were grateful for the management to let us stay and take pics for 10 mins as we had travelled from khi to see the place. The pics are of the wwf site and not park. parks boating facilities were nice.

It is situated around 18 to 20 kilometres outside the Bahawalpur City. From Bahawalpur city to Lal Suhanra there are lush green fields of wheat, rice, sugarcanes, gardens of mangoes and oranges this scene is itself very mesmerizing.
When you enter in the area of Lal Suhanara Park one side is covered with the park and on the opposite of the park the river is flowing and on the river bed there so many trees. There are also a variety of very beautiful birds which migrates from different parts of the world.
Lal suhanara is the breeding farm of black deer, peacock and many many other animals.
At last, this place is a must to-go place and words and pictures can not do justice which you will see and experience at this mind-blowing place.

While on a business trip to Bahawalpur our host took us to this National Park for an evening trip and tea. I had not heard of this national park before. Some 40 to 50 km outside of the main city, which took us nearly an hour and a half, lies this nature reserve which I would say is a "must-see" for those who love nature and wildlife.
We only had time to see the section with Black Bucks, a deer species indigenous to Pakistan and India, and only found in the Cholistan desert. Sleek beautiful animals, of which there were nearly 250 in the reserve, bounded in a 2 square area of land and protected from snakes and hunters they live peacefully and carefree. Apparently, the Black Bucks were initially brought here by students and have since been under the care of the wildlife department of Punjab Govt.
While traveling to the rest house we saw wonderful mixtures of desert and jungles.
