Mr.Suresh Babu and his family Hospitality is just awesome. Rooms are opposite to Canal and Fresh air. Felt Very happy to stay there. Food was superb.

Had a great time. Wonderful hospitality by Mr. Suresh his family and the staff We got to see the local pottery, oil mill, handicrafts, clams processing a beautiful boat ride through the canal. A scrumptious sadhya. The back2village local day tour is deinitely a must in Vaikom.

A beautiful scenic wonderland full of surprises. Ideal place for team outings and hangouts. Friendly staff and wonderful ambience. This place might surprise you with its photogenic spots.

Back2village helped coordinate a trip for 13 people from 5 different states including one last minute change the week prior to departure. She did an amazing job!

A very interesting visit which shows you in a single place all the village activities and creates employment for the villagers.
All the activities from pond cleaning, toddy tapping, mat and brooms making, coconut plucking, pottery, choir ropes making are all around the owners house.
A must see to have a a quick insight into village life.

Travelling by minibus between Kochi and Munnar we had a spot of engine trouble and were left with a couple of hours to kill while the repair took place. We were able to spend the time at this place, where a short boat trip on the backwater was arranged for the seven of us, while a lunch was made in a private house that also did home stay. The whole was delightful. The vegetarian lunch, served as traditional on banana leaf plates was interesting and excellent. A potentially boring delay was turned into a pleasure. Thanks to all who rustled this up.

We just spent the morning being hosted by Mr Suresh at his home in Vaikom. We had a peaceful and relaxing canoe trip along the canals, a tour of his garden and all the medicinal and spice plants, excellent lunch prepared by his wife which even included a lesson on eating with your fingers(!), a local fresh drink but activities promised were a bit limited as some workers were apparently busy on other tasks.

After 30 years of extensive travelled throughout India. I can say that this was the best meal I had in the country. Thanks we all be back.

Wonderful and made even better by Mr. R.K. Nair's talk on the boat about nature, wild life and Ayurveda healing practises. It was great to glide on the stream on a noiseless boat and see the villages go by.

We booked our tour via MagicTours, however, they enlisted the operators of Back 2 Village to provide our services.
Upon arrival in Vaikom we were greated by Suresh and his wife at their HomeStay. Suresh gave us a tour of the grounds and provided a 101 lesson on Ayurvedic herbal plants and medicinal properties. The three of us in my group then took a private canoe tour of the immediately proximate backwater canal. We stopped en route to see a demonstration on the weaving of ropes and mats, which is a craft traditional to the area. We then were demonstrated the tapping of a coconut tree by which a beverage can be extracted, and which be comes a local libation after one week of fermentation. To finish our experience we were served lunch at the HomeStay. A traditional Kerala meal. With our having prior enjoyed 2 weeks of sattvic Ayurvedic cooking, this meal was just as tasty and nourishing. Very healthy and satisfying.
Suresh and his family were very friendly and gracious hosts and we most enjoyed and valued our experience.
