Not impressed - so many beds jammed together and food facilities were poor - just a shack offering chips burgers etc. would definitely not go again and thought it a waste of money

Beautiful beach. Great food. Snorkeling was great over the wreck. Saw lots of tropical fish but no sea turtles. Swimming in clear water. Rested in the chairs with an umbrella to protect us from the hot sun.

HORRIBLE - nice beach but packed with people. Chairs one on top of the other. 19$ US for a hot dog. Cruise ship passenger stop since very close to port

We got off our ship in Barbados and went to Harbour Lights. Just a 15 min drive $5 a head with taxi at port and then access to beautiful beach and chairs with umbrella for $10 each.
Powder white sand and attentive waiters but not pushy.
Great few hours spent there! Swimming amazing!

Booked a day at Harbour Lights on Carlisle Bay and it was a great day. Some of the sunbeds have seen better day but we swapped one over and it was OK. The beds are very close together and there was a smoker next to my husband which was very unpleasant. The beach itself is beautiful, although the surrounding area is not very scenic, the sea is really easy to get into and the water is crystal clear. We chose a day when there was only one cruise ship in but it was still busy, especially in comparison to the quieter beaches further up the west coast. We went on the 10.30 snorkelling tour and it was really good, the crew were excellent, very informative, we saw turtles, tarpins, trumpet fish, stingray, flying gurnards and puffer fish. We had a couple of cocktails on the beach and went up to the restaurant for lunch and it was very good.

We went (2 adults and 2 children) the last day before leaving. I booked the package at Harbour Lights with tours on Koopa Troopa : the place gave us 2 umbrellas and 4 sunbeds. Wonderful sea. Availability of bar, restaurant, spotless facilities and shower with changing cabins.
At exactly 10.30 a.m. we got the guide for the tour. First we saw the wreck with countless fish. Second, we stopped at another point and saw turtles, carp of 1.5 meters and rays. All circling around. Magic.
The equipment is all provided by them, they are very careful about safety.
Highly recommended!

Beware of traveling from a hotel and paying ahead of time online. The bus ride to the event was over 1.5 hours due to the many stops to pick up others and the entire bus was crammed. We were picked up at 5:50pm and arrived at 7:20pm. The event coordinator chose the time we would be picked up.
When you get there, there are two lines. One if you paid ahead and one if you’re getting tickets at the event. The line for those that paid ahead was extremely long and we waited for a half hour to get in. This also meant that we got one of the last tables away from the stage with a blocked view. We were seated at our table at 7:50pm and were told to get in line for appetizers because they’re only served until 8pm.
The food and drinks were delicious and flavorful. Service was top notch. The show was fun and exciting. Just be aware if you’re taking the provided transportation to the event as it can get the evening off to a bad start.

Harbour Lights offers a great Bajan-style dinner and a great show with singers and dancers, along with some dancing and open bar. I would recommend this venue located in Bridgetown, Barbados. If you are staying at area hotels, they send a bus and then bring you back at the end of the show.

The sunbeds were ready with our names on them really efficient and freindly would advise any 9ne to book before they go .the beach is magnificent.

I went on my first solo trip last week to Barbados with one goal in mind, swimming with a turtle. After some research I decided to book my tour with the Koopa Troopa boat at the Harbour Lights Beach Club, and I couldn't be happier with this decision. The moment I arrived I was greeted with smiles, jokes, and laughter from the ladies at the front desk (unfortunately their names escape me). I was able to get on the 10:30 tour, the scenery when walking to the boat was absolutely beautiful, even though it was a slightly cloudy day! On my tour I saw a shipwreck, a turtle, many colourful fish, and even a stingray! The tour guides on board were extremely kind, and made it a fun experience for all ages! Whether he was shooting jokes with passengers, exhibiting patience with the kids, or generously offering a helping hand to those in need. Tyrese definitely enhanced my experience on the Koopa Troopa! Tyrese I had taken particular note of on my trip because he was quite a gentleman, and he was very attentive to me alongside everyone else on board. I don’t have much snorkelling experience, and after learning this Tyrese had offered to show me how. He went as far as getting in the water, and walking me through it to ensure I would be able to properly enjoy my time in the water. The food at the grill and drinks at the bar located in the main area of the beach club was quite good and filling. With friendly bar-tenders and beach staff I was able to enjoy several warm hours on a beachside lounge chair, listening to the waves with a pina-colada in hand. Bring yourself, bring the kids, bring a date, no matter the occasion or the people, this was a great place to have a beach day and explore some aquatic life in Barbados! 10/10 would recommend, I will definitely be back!

Hello all, has anyone done the beach day and included the turtle snorkelling with a 4 year old? She has been taking swimming lessons for a year but we wanted to make sure there is no age minimum before booking.

I see that this says night club, is it an actual nightclub or are children allowed to the show?

Yes it is a nightclub, on the website it says that all ages are allowed but I don't recall seeing any children or even anyone under the age of 16. I'm sure it would be fine if you brought children but after the show was over I don't think it would be much fun for children because it's more of a nightclub atmosphere after that!

We stayed at club Barbados resort and spa which is just outside holetown which is within walking distance
. The harbour lights is in Bridgetown which we went to by day on the reggae reggae bus then a 10 min walk, but for the evening event transport was laid on from the hotel to the venue and back.

Hi KD G,
Just to clarify that children are absolutely allowed to Harbour Lights during the day and during the Beach Extravaganza and Dinner Show each Monday and Wednesday. In order to attend the night club each Wednesday and Friday you must be age 17+ with proof of ID.
