Oh my goodness. This was a heck of a night. We had an absolutely incredible time... and it inspired us for days.
For the evening itself, we weren't sure what to expect. Wow!
There's a nice initial spirit. Guests get situated, the performers mingle, and everybody hangs out, getting to know each other. The (incredible) DJ makes mixes things up with some light quips and gets people in a lighthearted mood. There was a "birthday bash" that night, and since it was my birthday... I ended up on stage, in an incredible challenge: a competition between 4 of us fellow birthday folks to concoct the perfect cocktail!
Kinda like Iron Chef or something, we were introduced to each other and all the fine ingredients, and then we scrambled against the ticking clock amidst cheers and laughter to make some drinks. It was a fun, funny, fabulous way to get folks pumped up. And then some conga and dancing! And the show hadn't even started yet.
After dining upon some great local food, the show began. It's a bright, beautiful, colorful feast for the senses. What's especially cool about it is that it walks the audience through the history of Barbados — not all rosy — really evoking the spirit of how it feels to be Bajan, take pride in past, present and future — and to define the uplifting spirit of today and tomorrow.
Incredible costumes. Outstanding themes and storytelling through dance. Lots of sexiness, smartness, and contagious smiles.
Oh man, I'm smiling again as I write this.
Thank you Celebrations of Rhythm, folks! What you're sharing is very special. You're super talented — and inspiring!
Oh, and that point about things inspiring me for days is important. I feel like this show communicated key elements of what Bajan spirit is all about, and I appreciated all my Barbados experiences thereafter with a more meaningful lens. So see this as soon as you can in your visit. It's awesome.

We were picked up by a free shuttle. The entertainment was great. Energetic dancers put everything into the show. Rather loud drumming though.Food was plentiful with, chicken,fish etc. Rum punch was in good supply. They picked a few people out of the audience and person who got the the best cheer won a large bottle of Rum Punch. Picked up prompt and dropped back our hotel.

I never leave reviews but I just had to say something this time! I visited with my mum (60) and my sister (29) last week, and to be honest we didn't know what to expect before arriving, we had been considering other more advertised shows on the island but this one was much more reasonably priced so we thought we would give it a go! (we had a 2for1 deal so I think it worked out as £35/$90 barbados each inc food drinks transport and show) but it's worth much more! We had such a fun evening and didn't want the show to end! The performers are incredible and SO unbelievably energetic. I couldn't believe how much of a show they put on. There are so many very very talented performers and you just don't know what is going to happen next it is so varied. And the costumes are beautiful! The staff were all so friendly and charismatic they absolutely make the night. Their wonderful beaming smiles are infectious. The buffet was lovely classic bajan and no frills, and the drink that was included was just rum punch but we weren't complaining and they really do make sure your glass is always topped up! Dancing at the end with the performers was one of the highlights of my trip. Special thanks to Michael for making us feel so welcome and being super lovely. I can't imagine the more expensive shows have anything else to offer to top this! Only thing I'd say is that it's a shame the transport home arrived so early as we could have partied for much longer!

We were approached my Micheal on the beach, and didn't know what to expect...! We'd seen good reviews on trip adviser so we went for it. I can honestly say, it was the most fun night I've had in both holidays I've been in Barbados! From when we first entered- to the end- everyone was so friendly. We drank lots of the rum punch, got involved in the dance comp, and watched the incredible show. So much energy and talent from all the dancers. A fun-filled evening.

What a fabulous show. The history and culture of Barbados set to music and dance.
Could easily grace London's West End or New York's Broadway.
An absolute MUST see for anyone visiting Barbados.
Extremely talented singers and dancers.

This is a fantastic night out. We learned something about the real Barbados and its history through the medium of Music and Dance. The show is amazing. The talent of the entertainers is of the very best.

I went to the Celebrations of Rhythm performance on the class trip and had an excellent time. The cast really engages you before, during, and after the performance and ensures you have a good time. The food was excellent and very authentic to the Bajan culture. The performance was captivating and had me wanting more at the end. The cast actually recommended a place to go out afterwards and helped us arrange transportation there - they really went above and beyond.

Performers are very talented and the program was well put together. For a small venue (90 +/-) the music was quite loud. The buffet was above average with flying fish, chicken and a large selection of sides. Adult beverages and sodas are all you can drink. The evening lasted until about 9:30.

Taking in consideration your comment of the music being loud, we are continually working on this element, as the live drums and steel may in deed get a little loud at points, especially for our mature customers.
Next time you are on island, do come back and visit us again.

This show is a must see if you're a local or tourist to the island. Performers are professional and are full of energy from start to finish! They really captured my attention and the kept me moving throughout. The huge finale where the audience gets to dance and incorporate with the dancers and musician and stilt walkers was spectacular! Great depiction of Barbadian culture and a great deal with drinks and food included.

If you're ever in Barbados, go see Celebrations of Rhythm, It's a fantastic show featuring many of the cultural figures from Barbados' history. Lively music and beautiful costumes. Also, a quick way to learn about the history of Barbados. 4 stars.

HI am interested in seeing this show...how do I go about getting tickets etc....I'll be in BIM May 24 to June 7. Where exactly is this and is I can get the phone number please.

The show is at the Plantation Theater and tickets can be purchased at the door. Also if you're staying at a hotel usually the activities desk can help with tickets. There's a number on their fb page 246-826-4001. Hope you enjoy Barbados and the show!
