Cheguei à Bonaire com um Cruzeiro e o Porto encontra-se próximo ao forte. A cor laranja chama a atenção de quem circula pela região. Está bem preservado.

From a distance you'd never think this being a fort. However when we disembarked took a short walk - yellow painted walls with few cannons and a lighthouse.

It is a cool site to see. Not much to it, we walked by and took pictures on our way to the small craft market in the plaza nearby. You can see it from the ship if you come in on a cruise. Easy to find and walk to. I wouldn't call it a must see, but it's pretty cool history nonetheless.

A beautiful sight. I was able to take great pictures and is a good historical sight. It is a short walk from the port and it worth the walk.

Kralendijk heeft nog delen met geschiedenis. Prachtige oude gebouwen. Bij het Wilhelmina park hangt een bord met 20 historische gebouwen. Leuk om dit rondje te lopen. Het fort is daar ook een onderdeel van. Er staan een paar roestige kanonnen die nooit gebruikt zijn. Toch heeft het wel wat.

It was impossible to miss Fort Oranje coming off the cruise boat to get to the Bonaire Cruise Market and walking through downtown Kralendijk. Some great views overlooking the ocean and the architecture of the buildings. There were a couple of courtyards where my daughter and I sat down to enjoy the trees and the chirping of the birds in the hot hot sun! Not that Fort Oranje is a must thing to see, but if you’re in the vicinity, why not check it out!?

Fort Oranje: it’s not that you can see a lot, but you can go in, get cool pictures with the canons pointing towards the ship – walk partly up on a tower, if you don’t mind that the stairs are free-standing.

It looks beautiful and historical. We didn't go inside, just looked outside. Very beautiful place, near the cruise terminal.

tijdens mijn rondje lopen smorgens langs Fort Oranje gekomen , ligt bij de haven waar de cruise schepen aankomen aan het einde van de boulevard ik kon niet naar binnen was nog te vroeg !
