Iets voorbij de pier, voor de deur van Sand Dollar, is een klein stukje koraal (elandgewei) met veel vissen. Ga het water in tussen Chocolonely en Laman .

Did this one 3 times--went north once, south once, and hung in the middle on the third--also has nice place to park in the shade for lunch--great underwater stuff and good snorkeling for non-divers.

We went out there to Dive and even Snorkel multiple times during our staff and were so impressed by the Diversity of fish and Coral!

Luckily, the villa we rented was just a short walk from Bari reef. We rented a small boat and went from yellow marker to yellow marker to tie down and jumped in to snorkel. We even made it to Klein Bonaire. The north side of that island is the best for diving and snorkel with a quick shelf drop off.

We recently dove Bari’s. Parking and water entry were very easy. Incredible variety of aquatic life. It is definitely a dive site you don’t want to miss. Frog fish, scorpion fish, tarpon, fire worms, anemone shrimp to mention a few sightings.

This place is only for divers. If you come to snorkel there is only few corals which you can see anywhere in Island. .... not worth.

El Bari Reef se encuentra cerca Kralendij y al hotel, así que hicimos snorkel en las cercanías al muelle dado que la profundidad no permitía adentrarse más. Sin embargo, lo visto como en otras partes de la isla, es una vida marina abundante y maravillosa.

this was our last snorkel site in Bonaire, compare to other sites that we went to, such as Karpata, 1000 steps, Andrea I, Lac Bay, this Bari Reef site is not for snorkeling, but for diving, the see bottom get deap very quickly. If you snorkel, the only interesting thing is under the dock where divers put on their equipment. There are a lot of fishes under the dock or around the dock. You can walk to Bari reef from town beside the sea, once you see a white 3 floor building block the way, then walk on the rode inside, keep walking, pass water taxi sign, pass eden beach sign, under you see a traffic circle on the road, then turn to the sea, bari reef is there. It is about 30 min walk from town, not big deal for adult, but hard for little kid especially when it is hot and sunny.

Local de mergulho de fácil acesso, fica mais ao norte do centro. A bóia de orientação fica bem próxima da costa, não precisando nadar muito para chegar ao ponto. Assim como em todos os pontos de Bonaire, a vida marinha é imensa e a visibilidade muito boa. Tivemos o prazer de encontrar com uma tartaruga que nadou em nossa direção.

This shore dive, not far from Kralendyk, has great coral, sponges and fans. We dove late afternoon, and sure enough, the bigger animals had already started appearing, including a school of large tarpon and a reef shark.

Hi! We will be in Bonaire in Feb and may be renting a place on the other side of the road from the ocean, but right near Bari's Reef. How exactly do you access the ocean near the reef, and then get into the water to see the reef? Thanks so much!

KS, well it's a challenge: walk across the road, stroll to the water, climb in :-)
Truly, it's that easy. My two cents, contact one of the multiple Dive Friends locations, they can help. if you're staying across the road from Sand Dollar, go to your left to the roundabout, take the right towards the water, there's a Dive Friends shop there & they can rent you gear, and explain access to their pier. Bari is 30 ft to the west; seriously, it's that easy. Don't miss Between-2-Buns across the road from you, and the little grocery store north or you is good for booze, beer, and snacks. Best of luck, am sure you'll enjoy yourself.

Yes, folks snorkel there all the time. In fact, while we were there a snokeler saw a sea ray in the sand that we divers missed! There are also other sites that are known just for snorkeling. The island is small but the shops are quaint and fun.

degsy7 is right - there's a good-sized parking lot, just off the rotary (traffic roundabout); easy shore entry. There are taxis (no public transportation that I know of), and they're not very expensive - it's not very far from the town center - but I'm not sure how much they are.
