‪This is a great place to relax under a tree on a patio and enjoy coffee and something sweet or empanadas or bruschetta. Or a wonderful smoothy made of just yoghurt and frozen fruit (you add your own sweetener, if desired) - my personal favorite! You can also browse through lots of English language books. And support their socially and ethically responsible business!‬

‪Positive Impact Through Reading - A Must Visit‬

‪We were doing our research on fun things to do in Havana, and my wife read about Cuba Libro.

As an educator, avid readers, and always wanting to do good while we travel, this was a must stop for us. We emailed them ahead of time and asked how we could contribute. They sent us a list of books on their wishlist, and we packed our bags with books and delivered them.

We had the honor of meeting Conner and the team while enjoying a cafecito and can't wait to see what they create next. Bring them some English books on your next trip to Havana!!!

‪I think my second trip to Habana, Cuba occurred in February/March of 2017. I booked my way-too-short trip via a travel company that, at present, strangely escapes me. But ,at any rate, I arrived and stayed at the Hotel Presidente, a lodging that was comfortable, along with thirteen or so others for 10 days. This group varied in ages but managed to bond. Our guide was stellar, for she quietly allowed us to venture off on our own and to explore the mysteries that lay there. One day I left the group and traveled via taxi to Cuba Libro, a coffee house and book store, community-focused organization. After I'd arrived, I met the owner a half hour later and presented her with two or three containers of chocolate syrup, an abundance of condoms and lube, and about twenty to twenty-five copies of various magazines that are published in the United States, items that were requested. She (Embarrassingly, her name escapes me.) gave me a personal tour of the facilities, offered me juice or coffee, and sat and discussed the origins and the workings of her community-based organization. As a retired teacher and a community volunteer in my area in the States, I was more than willing to listen and to engage in some dynamic conversation, for I liked their objectives and the work that they were doing in Cuba. I shall always remember this experience and suggest your visiting and donating to Cuba Libro if you find yourself in Habana, Cuba anytime soon or in the future.‬

‪Un lugar acogedor, con muy buena temática. Para compartir con amistades no está mal, pero me dejó mucho que desear el servicio de la dependienta del día que fui, al parecer no tenía ganas de trabajar. No nos atendía, se la pasaba en el celular, fumando con los de la cocina y teníamos que esperar ratos para pedir más cosas. Se confundieron en el sabor del suero de helado, no hicieron el dibujo del capuchino (simplemente dijeron que no le había salido!!!) La verdad fue una muy mala experiencia, quizás no es culpa del lugar, sol del turno, pero así fue‬

‪Un lugar super acogedor y agradable, donde combinas el arte de tomar café con la de leer un libro, y si a eso sumamos la buena compañia, el buen servicio y la tranquilidad del lugar, pues es la convinación perfecta. Un lugar donde puedes ser tu mismo y donde se respetan tus gustos y preferencia. Me encantó sin lugar a dudas lo recomiendo y pienso repetir la visita.‬
