I can't remember the price but want to say it was $10 Cuban Pesos. It is open to the public. We just walked up to the place and maybe waited 10 minutes for the tour. They do have quite a bit of rum for sale but no food. Eat before you go if you are going to sample the rums.

I bought Havana Rum glasses there. The tall, skinny ones you see in the restaurants. They had several things in the case at the register (coasters, gift sets etc).

We took the excursion in Veradero from our hotel. It was the rum, sugar cane museum and cigar tour. Highly recommend this - it was very educational and gave you lots of background and history. There was also another small museum on the stop that had little bits of all kinds of interesting things. This excursion also included lunch. The sugar cane museum gave us each 2 700ml bottles of rum and included a ride on a steam train.
