Encontramos esta agencia buscando que actividades podiamos realizar en Cuba.
Vimos que los comentarios eran excelentes por lo que decidimos contactarlos para realizar una excursion.
Luego de habernos puesto de auerdo con Amel y su équipo recibimos una confimacion para realizar una excursion a La Habana.
Mi experiencia es pesima ya que estuvimos esprando fuera de nuestro hotel por mas de una hora y nunca vinieron a buscarnos.
Luego contactamos a Abel el maletero de nuestro hotel que nos dijo que no podiamos confiar en esta agencia.
Realmente no se lo que sucedio porque no recibi ningun mensaje de cancelacion.
Gracias a Abel que nos encontro un taxi, pudimos hacer nuestro tour a La Habana.
Si regreso a Cuba sere mucho mas cuidadoso en escoger con quien realizo mi tour.

Everyone sould enjoy the 7 Wonders of Cuba. cant wait to go back again. the people cars and weather everyone will enjoy. only thing we couldn't find was a Cuban sandwich. i think there only in Miami.

We were on what may have been the last cruise ship to enter Cuba. Our guide Eric met us and gave us a top notch tour of Old and New Havana. Eric is extremely knowledgeable in his history of the country and its relation to other countries. He is very personable, informative and his English is impeccable. Part of the tour was on foot, another part by taxi with stops and a delicious lunch was had at a stop at a local restaurant. I would recommend this for any small group (we had 5) that is able to still visit this interesting country.

What an interesting, educational and fun three days, Amel and Eye Witness Cuba provided us in Havana and environs. We laughed and learned a lot.
We did a walking tour of old Havana, a sprinter van tour of both larger Havana and the hilly/sm mountain countryside. We were busy from morning till sometimes late at night.
Amel was well read and well informed. He didn’t pull punches. His commentary was always interesting and included both positive and negative comments about the government. Amel liked the exchange of ideas and was open to friendly serious debate. He was one of the best guides we have ever had and gets our highest recommendation.
Heard lots of good music including an jazz ensemble with an outstanding trumpeter doing a credible Miles Davis. The band was in a little café up three flights of stairs. Also heard a Salsa group with a fabulous woman vocalist and salsa dancers at a roadside stand. Could have stayed there all afternoon listening. The excellent $4 or$5 pina coldas there didn’t hurt either. We even passed a John Lennon memorial park. Thought maybe they were saying Lenin but it was a park with a statue of John Lennon. I asked another Cuban how this came to be. He said his dad told him that in the 60’s and 70’s everyone liked the Beatles but they had to listen to them secretly then. When things later opened up a bit they asked for and got the memorial park. Said there was a lady in the park whose job was to put the glasses on the John Lennon statute when the tourists came and then take them off before the glasses were stolen. One of the tour guides, a young woman with a law degree and a law license, told us that her boyfriend played in a band that covered Led Zepplin. Incidentally tourist professionals are apparently amongst the highest paid people in the country. The young woman said she quit her lawyer’s job to become a tour guide because she could make many times the amount she made as a lawyer.
Also caught ashow at the Tropicana after riding there in a pink ’57 Ford Convertible. Sure it was a campy Vegas-like 50’s show. But it was classy camp; well done and fun. Dancers must have had 20 costume changes.
Amel told us what happened when the Soviet Union collapsed in ’92. Seventy percent of their economy went away overnight because they were totally dependent on foreign exchange generated by sugar exports to Russia. His remembrance made clear the trauma of that with people going hungry. Amel was a hustler; proud of his small business, country and worked hard. I was impressed by the free speech I heard from him and many other people. Cuba seemed safe and we experienced only friendly people.
Amel set us up with several very good restaurants and also with some country restaurants where the food was plainer but good. In the country we saw rice paddies being worked with animal traction and spent a couple of very interesting hours on a tobacco farm where they rolled their own cigars. Smoked my first cigar in 50 years. That’s probably about the right amount of time between cigars for me. Bought 15 or so Montecristos for a cigar aficionado friend in New York. Haven’t yet heard how he liked them.

We were collected from our hotel in Varadero by Amel & his driver in the classic cuban car (1952 Chevvy) and driven to Havana. Amel was very well informed and pointed out many of the sights en-route. He took us to a refreshment stop to enjoy a fresh Pina Colada about half way.
Amel's friendly chat and knowledge of his country's history was great and made the experience both cultural and fun. He was able to show us the less tourist side of Havana as well as the famous buildings and squares
Would highly recommend this company for a unique sight seeing tour of Havana.

One word, "WOW!" We have enjoyed guided tours in the past and Amel is truly the exception. Knowledgeable, flexible, entertaining, with welcomed attention to subtle details that made this a fabulous experience.
I highly recommend Eye Witness if you want to fully appreciate an in depth tour with a gentle touch. Yes, you will walk through old and new Havana so comfortable shoes, hat and sun screen is necessary. Amel is attentive to you individual comfort and needs. The Eye Witness tour was on the front end of a separate planned 7 day dive trip on the Zapata Walls through a different guide/bus company. What a stark contrast.
We will return some day in the near future and use Eye Witness again.

Viva Cuba
Cuba is a wonderful destination. Our tour guide Amel made our three day tour of Havana informative, exciting and most of all fun. Highlights of the trip included a tour of a 16th century fortress, a road side stop with music and talented salsa dancers, a boat ride through a cave, a tour of a cigar farm with an opportunity to try a hand rolled Monte Christo. At night we heard some wonderful jazz with trumpet player doing a very good rendition of one of Miles Davis’ songs. The next day we learned about the crazy, fun artist who created Fusterlandia and had an interesting foot tour of Old Havana. A surprise happened on our last night in the city when our ride to the Tropicana old world nightclub was a 1957 pink Ford convertible to the Tropicana. It was a blast!
Amel a a terrific tour guide. In addition to being competent, 'he is warm, caring and very happy to share his own thoughts about his country's strengths and challenges. Clearly he is a very proud Cuban who loves showing off his homeland to his eager American students. His delightful personality came through with his love of music, culture and the delicious Cuban food he had us experience on the trip. Amel really had fun procuring the classic cars for us and went the extra mile when one of the ladies in the group left their purse behind at the Tropicana. Within fifteen minutes, the purse was located and retrieved. Thank you Amel for a wonderful experience. Viva Cuba!

Both our driver Yasiel and our tour guide Eric were excellent. We were driven from Varadero to Havana in a classic car. Yasiel drove and gave us lots of information about the area until we picked up Eric partway to Havana. Eric walked with us through Old Havana explaining the history, significant monuments, buildings etc. We also saw other sites in the city of Havana such as Revolution Square. They booked us for lunch at an out of the way Havana restaurant where the food was delicious. It really felt like we were touring Havana with a couple of friends who took very good care of us. An awesome day!

First Trip Advisor maybe a little misleading in the information. As of 3/6/19, it list Eyewitness Cuba as #2 of 38 for Outdoor activities in Varadero. They should be #1 in both Varadero AND Havana. From the hospitality, professionalism, patience, prompt, recommendations/assistance given (if needed), the knowledge and passion for his Cuba... AMAZING! My tour guide was Eric by the way. He gave us the history on everything in Havana as we did the walking tour, visit Fusterlandia, Varadero and so much more. He’s hilarious too by the way. We had a very good time with him. I left feeling like we left our friend because he’s personable. WHEN I GO BACK (not if because I definitely am going back ), I’m definitely going to use Eyewitness Cuba and you should too!

Recently attended an all girls meetup for Cuba.....then came along Mr. Eric...he was an amazing tour guide. Eric was very nice, professional, and widely knowledgeable. I would recommend and request Eeic for my next trip.

hi.. do u do private tours of Cuba for 2 people with a driver/guide ? we are looking at coming to Cuba about 21july for approx 6 nights .. could you advise if you have anything available and how much it would it would cost ? we dont mind staying at private homes and if possible could we have a day or 2 at a beachside area ? just a good tour with losts of sightseeing would be great ... thanking you Diana Kates

I am planning to be in Varadero for 14 days starting on May 11 and would like to find out information about some tours to Havana and other local areas. I'm a semi-professional photographer and a travel blogger so I'm looking for great tours and incredible places to see. I'd like to have the information as soon as possible in order to make the most time on my trip. Prices and dates / times would be useful. Thank you.

The tour to Havana will give you the opportunity to capture diverse sceneries from a beautiful coast line and bay, to mountain ranges around a tropical valley that by May should already be green and colorful. Also some city perspectives and persons or faces. Building from 17th, 18th, 19th century and Spanish style long streets, wait for you in Old Havana, a UNESCO site. All you have to do is define what would you like to capture with your lens and we will be there.
