I can't recommend this day enough. The crew are warm, welcoming and wonderful. Anna, Scott and Jacqui were absolutely brilliant in making everyone feel welcome and attended to every need. We were slightly unlucky with the weather but the crew adapted the trip so we could get in all the snorkeling, swimming and paddle boarding we wanted. As well of course as the iconic Tarzan swing!! The lunchtime barbie was superb... I wouldn't expect anything less from the good Aussie at the helm and Jacqui and Anna were fantastic in attending to everything. Young families as well us were on the trip and it was great for all concerned. Just a great, solid day out with a crew that make the day.

The boat is clean, comfortable, adorable, well stocked and so much fun! The food was DELICIOUS and Queenie was precious! I felt safe at all times and they cater to your alcoholic beverage needs the whole trip! A wonderful deal compared to what cruise lines offer and our boat was way less crowded. Definitely recommend Random Wind for a catamaran day on Sint Maarten!

Best Catamaran trip. Anna and Scott could not be better host. The food, the hospitality, the music…. Everything was perfect. Thank you Anna for a great day. I will be back!

This was the highlight of our trip to St. Maarten. We had booked this excursion back in June as part of a 21 day repositioning cruise. The crew waited on everyone hand and foot to make sure we had whatever we needed. They took us to some wonderful spots for some swim time and snorkeling. They also had a great swing we could use off the boat...my husband actually won the tarzan swing contest lol. We can't say enough of this great crew and of course "Queenie"... guardian of the sails :) We loved everything about this excursion. Thank you so much for the great time and for the memories we will always cherish. Love you guys... Desmond and Nicole

Had a great Trip. Anna, Mel and Scotty were great, kept the drinks flowing and the fun all trip. The boat was kept nice and clean and there was plenty of room for everyone. lunch was very good and snacks were great as well

We cant recomend this enough.
We had such a great day on the Random Wind.
We were greeted in the harbour, lead on the boat and all so well organized.
On the boat a rum punch was served right away.
We knew this was going be a great day.
We sailed for a while, just north of Maho beach, had an our swimming before lunch on the boat was served. Grilled chicken and coconut rice. Heavenly good. More sailing before some snorkeling were we got to see a helicopter, submarine and some canons all at the bottom of the sea. Before leaving we got to test the Tarzan swing. So much fun.
Id give this trip a 10/10.
All staff are AMAZING.

From where the ship actually docks in St. Maarten it is about a three-quarter mile walk to where the Random Wind docks. I don’t believe that they offer pick-up/drop-off but you can check with them if there are extenuating circumstances

Based on the price we paid, we gave approximately 20% gratuity which came to $20 USD per person

Yes!!! There are steps in the back and a ladder :) very easy...that’s how I got in!

Hello - We booked the Random Wind for our visit during our upcoming RC cruise. Sailboat tour begins at 10:00 and Ship departs at 4:00. We did get an email that you have RC guests all the time and we would be okay getting back on time. I know this may seem silly, but if there is a mechanical failure on the sailboat, do you have means to get us back to the pier and contact the cruise ship? Thank you.

Yes, they have snorkel gear. You snorkel from the boat but at one stop you can swim over to the beach.

Hi Random Wind! I noted in several recent reviews that the guests boarded in Philipsburg (at Dock's Marina) and not in Simpson's Bay behind Skipjack's. Have you re-located post Irma? Thank you.

Thanks, yes. Since the big resports as well as Skipjack’s are still down, we are leaving from Philipsburg most days. We do have some trips out of the yacht club in Simpson Bay sometimes as well. Thanks, Diane

Thanks! Yes, please let me know upon booking that you are gluten free. We always have vodka and lots of mixers including tonic. Yes and bottled water.
