I had the best party, Mummy and Daddy and all my friends were there, I had balloons and food and a Peppa Pig cake, we played on the bouncy castles and I had so much fun with my friends and they brought me presents, the people were very fun and friendly, I played in the sand and went on a tractor ride.

It's a soft play centre not a farm park...probably would get more visitors if it was advertised as such although the place was busy.
Could could with a good clean. Some of the soft play equipment is looking tired and most of the outdoor go carts were broken which is a shame when you consider the price of admittance.
Felt sorry for the animals. Kept right in the main thoroughfare constant noise from the children.

My husband and I brought our daughter here on the way home from visiting family. The soft play area was great as my little girl really enjoyed it and had the run of the smaller one to herself. I was however, very disappointed with how little they had in the way of animals. There is one tiny strip of pens and they were quite small. I would count this more as a soft play centre that a farm as that is the main attraction. The outside area must be great in the summer but it was just a mud bath for us being January.

I want to start this by saying I love the farm park normally but was so disappointed on my most recent visit.
I had a few complaints which I emailed the farm park regarding once I had left, my main issue being a serious health and safety risk. My email was ignored so I proceeded to write on their Facebook page which was the deleted!
I shall be making a formal complaint to HSE as the farm park themselves do not seem to be taking complaints seriously.
Thoroughly disappointed.

The children’s play areas were fantastic but the inside animals were looking neglected. The donkeys looked like they had not been groomed in months as they were both badly mattered. The budgies had no drinking water, the rabbit’s nails really badly needed cutting and all the animals were kept in tiny pens. There was plenty of space which could be used to make larger enclosures. The food was pricey and not very good.

We arrived an 12pm after a 1.45 hr trip expecting a good family outing.
What we did not expect was the instant smell of strong ammonia and animal waste as soon as we bought our tickets and the option to only feed the animals carrots which cause diabetes if consumed in large amounts. Seeing this is all visitors were offered I dread to imaging the health of these animals.
Can I please suggest you sell carrot tops and grains instead?
Upon entering the massive barn we discovered two small run down cages of birds with hardly any toys for interaction. The bugdies were almost out of water and the parakeets food and water were on the floor with poo in them.
The pens with chickens in them were barren and small. The pen next door had a single rabbit with nails that were almost 2" long. The rabbit, a highly social animal, must have been bored out of it's mind. Also, keeping a rabbit indoors does not prevent them from getting miximatosit. They can also get it from biting insects, people's shoes and contaminated materials brought into contact with them. Please tell me you have vaccinated her?!
THEN we got to the donkeys. Dear lord! I have never seen such negligence. Their coats were so matted they had formed thick dreadlock type mattes that tugged at their skin. Their water was dirty, the pen tiny with no toys or boredom breakers at all! Their floor was covered in poo with straw sprinkled on top. Their stall could have been made bigger, as a large are next door was taken up with hay they couldn't access.
After that there was a pen 'occupied ' by a fake dinosaur. That space could have been given the the animals.
Then came the emus. Poo stuck all over the floor, the birds had no food, no toys and no clean area to sleep. Their feathers were dirty. It was a really distressing site. Their pen was was too small allowing them no ability to express natural behavior. There was an empty pen next door that could have been allocated to them too.
Past the emus were the two turkeys. I have never seen such listless creatures. They didn't move, didn't warble, didn't do anything. Really there was absolutely nothing for them TO do. No toys, no hides and no clean place to sit or sleep.
My family and I were so appalled by the conditions that I decided to express my concerns to the lady on the front dest. Though very polite she seemed oblivious to the plain neglect of these animals. She tried to tell me that the donkeys were brushed that morning. I really have no words.
Trim your rabbit's nails and find it a companion. Upgrade your pens and averies. Give us something better to feed them. Invest some time and money into their welfare and wellbeing. Even my three year old niece told me she thought the animals were sad. Try looking at their lives from their point of viem. Just, do better.

Brilliant day out, plenty of fun and entertainment. With 7 grandchildren ages from 2 to 10, full day, quality equipment for them to play on and with. Exceptional value, highly recommended

Absolutely fantastic day out that didn’t hurt the wallet. (And we were also given a loyalty card) Arrived around lunch time, plenty of parking, young lady on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. Met another friendly member of staff as soon as we had paid who explained everything to us and showed us where everything was, we sat on one of the many picnic benches and had our packed lunches, then fed the donkeys with the ample sized bag of carrots we bought for 50p, there were two zip lines, 2 trampolines many swings, pedal tractors and go karts for children to play on. There were quite a few indoor soft play frames and a fantastic inflatable bouncy tractor for when our wonderful Welsh weather lets us down. We had an ice cream at the end that was only £1 and delicious. Best day out in a long time.

First post covid visit, never fails! Wow even more picnic tables, sheltered seating, zip wires, ride on go karts around the field, more animals, more playzones inside (climbing, tunnels, slides, ropes etc) all padded and safe. Fran and Amys kitchen brilliant for food and drinks. All staff friendly and helpful, with owners hands on. Farm shop on site. Not as expensive as other parks, money re invested into more activities for toddlers and older children. Well worth a visit again and again

We loved our day here - we had 4 kids with us ranging from 9 years old down to 18m. There was plenty to keep them all happy. Food on site was reasonably priced and was super tasty. Our only gripe was the wasps. I know they play a part in the natural world, and they’re a hazard of the outdoors in the summer but a few wasp traps would have made it a lot less stressful (I’m very scared of them!) I totally get that it’s not the farm’s fault for them pitching up, and they were definitely after our food but it was a slight down side to an otherwise awesome visit

I am sure they would enjoy the animals. However, they would probably enjoy it more next year.

Hope someone can help, what kind of food is served in the cafe. My grandson doesn't like the normal fare offered in places such as chips and chicken nuggets. Thank you :)

I am thinking taking a 13 and 9 year old here tomorrow, in the rain! Is it accommodating for their age group or do you think they are too old?? Thanks :)
Is there a family ticket and are the attractions extra?
Steve T
Pontypool, UK135 مساهمة
Hi, yes if I remember they were advertising a family ticket but I’m afraid I can’t remember the price sorry. Think it worked out to be a couple of quid cheaper if that helps. All the attractions are included like the soft play areas and bouncy castles for the children but feed isn’t, so if you would like to feed the goats ponies etc, we bought some carrots when buying our tickets and it was only about 50p for 5, more than enough.

Can i take an NCT social there? (Maybe 10-20 parents plus kids) & if so, do i need to book?

I don't see why not but it may be a good idea to let them know that you are going. As far as numbers are concerned I don't think there are any restrictions. Hope this helps.

is it suitable for wheelchair users?
James H
كارديف, UK90 مساهمة
Yes I think much of the farm was suitable for a wheelchair with a person assisting. The wheels may dig into the grass during wet weather, but there is a lot undercover which is on good solid ground with very few steps. There is the odd, very short incline but the staff are very accommodating and would be available to help if necessary. Can't say I noticed toilets for disabled persons but they may have been there.
Do you have to pay a fee to entre the farm
Lynne S
Monmouth, UK417 مساهمة
Yes but it is reasonable. You pay for adults and older children but little ones are free. Well worth the cost.
