Spent a wonderful couple of hours on a Saturday morning before a Buckie Thistle match. The centre is a treasure trove of artefacts and knowledge. The volunteers were so friendly and engaging it was a pleasure to spend time with them. Thank you all from darkest Kent.

A most fascinating museum chartering the local fishing industry. Ask to see the film of the last train to run on the coastal route. Very knowledgeable and friendly guides. Not to be missed.

Fantastic place!
Volunteers knowledgeable & welcoming - very accomodating of questions with nothing being too much for them.
Free to enter, very reasonably priced local gifts & dog friendly to boot.
Highly recommend!

This museum is hidden behind Buckie Library. It is staffed by the most knowledgeable volunteers. The exhibits and photographs are extremely interesting. We took our friends on a wet afternoon and enjoyed a cup of tea with the volunteer staff. We came away with photographs of Portgordon in years gone by.

Popped in here whilst waiting for my husband and a friend who were walking the coastal path. Packed full of information about the local fishing industry and the people involved. A fantastic bunch of gentlemen who volunteered. They were informative, friendly and couldn’t do more to make me feel welcome. They made me a lovely cup of tea and shared some homemade banana bread, which was delicious. When my husband and friend arrived, more tea and banana bread and lots of chat. An absolutely delightful place to visit.

The first thing you think that you are stepping back in time when you enter to a fishing world that is gone, kids will love this like going on a adventure for them, the sound effects are rely good , ideal place if it is a wet day.

What a gem! Took the kids to find out what kind of boats their great great Granda used to build. The volunteers were great with me and the kids, showing them appropriate bits of interest and also what we'd seen on our trip of relevance

We met a delightful set of volunteers, who were both interesting and helpful. The museum is tastefully organised and most informative. Any souvenirs were very reasonably priced. A bonus was being able to park without any hassle or parking fee!

excellent wee place, run by volunteers who were only too happy to chat and explain the exhibits.
I especially liked learning about the hard working fisher lassies, and enjoyed the photos..
We didn't have time to visit the memorial chapel sadly, and wish we had, as we just learned that some relatives of our Aunty ( who is from Buckie), were fisherman lost at sea, and their names were probably there...
