We had a perfect snorkeling tour with whalesharks. It began with super nice driver Edgar and ended with a guide of maximum passion for what he is doing.

Make sure you know where to go. We never did find an office. We met a guy at the corner waving us down then rode with him to the pier. Would have preferred just to meet them at the the pier. We did the afternoon whale sharks. Fun and interesting experience. Just us on the boat with 2 guides. One drove and one was in the water with us. Neither spoke great English, but went the info we needed. We were able to book online.

Booked a full day tour to swim with the whales and snorkel the outer islands. The owners made it easy to book and the price was the best out there. It was a great day with Mario and the captain. We knew the whales would be a highlight but swimming with the sea lions was just as good. Stopped off on a couple of beautiful beaches with turquoise water and ate a great lunch. The only down side on these beaches are the wasps/hornets. They can be annoying but didn't ruin the trip or sting anybody.

We had a great day trip out to Santu Espiritu to snorkel with the sea lions last week. They are like friendly dogs! Captain Martin and snorkel-guide Mario were professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. The boat was as clean as a whistle, and lunch was delicious, served up on the most beautiful beach I've ever seen. Our party included 4 adults plus a 5 year old and an 8 year old, and it was safe and fun for both of them as well. The boat was a little bit tricky to find, so make sure to confirm ahead of time that you know where you're going.

I won't rave about how cool snorkeling with the whale sharks is - it's everything you hope for and more.
This review is about Baja Bay Tours. We booked in advance and got a discount for booking online. There were only 4 of us on our tour (our family) and we went with three of their employees. Two spotters stayed in the boat and we swam with one guide all of whom spoke English and Spanish. They gave instructions on how to avoid being hit by the sharks, not so much because they would hurt you, but to protect the sharks. They let us stay in the water as long as we wanted (about an hour). All of their equipment was in great shape. We didn't swim with life jackets or wet suits, but you can if you want.
Do this! It was the highlight of our trip to Baja.

For my 30th birthday I was snorkeling in the Sea of Cortez with Baja Bay Tours! The trip was eventful from the beginning til end. The crew had some trouble with a lock but were very resourceful in getting it taken care of and after a slight delay we were on our way. Captain Lalo and Ivan were great guides. Fun and informative without too bombarding you with too much information. Ivan always made sure we were safe around the sea lions and had an awesome sense of humor. Lalo was always quietly looking out to make sure everyone was taken care of. We had a very sweet family with us and even though we didn't speak the same language, we all shared laughs and candy! Lunch in the gorgeous island cove we took us to was incredible. I was in paradise! The ceviche was fresh and flavorful, the best I've ever had. On the way back we got caught in a surprise tropical storm and although it was scary at times, the crew made a smart emergency dock and got us transported safely back to our cars. I will never forget this amazing birthday, thank you Baja Bay Tours!!

Estuvo muy divertido, una linda y cercana atención. Pasaron por nosotros al hotel y nos regresaron también.
Una experiencia increíble poder nadar con el majestuoso tiburón ballena :)
La pasamos padrísimo y lo recomiendo ampliamente.

We took this tour back in January 2014. The whole day went well, starting with the convienience of getting picked up and dropped off from our hotel. Our tour guide Ivan and Captain Jesus, gave us a tour of a lifetime. It was nice going with a smaller company, having that personal touch and experience that you probably would not get from larger tour operators. We decided to do the Espiritu Santos Island tour, which I would most definitely recommend to anyone. We had a nice shore lunch, ceviche, sandwiches and refreshments. After lunch they took us out off shore for a couple hundred meters, we jumped into the pristine water and went for a nice long swim. Between the beautiful scenery, snorkeling, seeing the sea lions, turtles, Rays, pristine beachs, the whole day went as well as you could expect. If you are in the La Paz area, make some time for this tour, you will not regret it. Thanks again Baja Bay Tours!

Mi familia y yo tuvimos la oportunidad de poder estar en La Paz y sabíamos que por estas fechas el tiburón Ballena anda por estas aguas, a lo cual nos aventuramos a ir a nadar con este majestuoso pez, estuvimos preguntando por varias opciones a lo que todo apuntaba a ir con esta compañía, salimos del muelle a la hora que nos reservaron (muy puntuales), la embarcación en la que nos llevaron bastante cómoda y lo que más me llamo la atención fue el equipo para esnorkelear muy limpios, el personal muy amables y muy informativos acerca de el lugar y el tiburón, el tour duró aproximadamente 2 horas y 10 minutos, ellos son muy respetuosos al acercarse al tiburón para guardar su distancia y sólo podemos entrar al agua para el nado con el tiburón máximo 5 personas y el guía para no estrezar al tiburón, los precios son muy baratos para el servicio que dan, personalmente recomiendo altamente esta empresa.

After being picked up at my hotel and taken to the marina near the Malecon, I spent a great day with Baja Bay tours. Capitano Lalo and Mayra, our bi-lingual guide extraordinaire took us swimming with the sea lions towards the north end of Espiritu Santos which is about 90 minutes out from the marina. They provide the snorkel gear, they have wetsuits available for a small fee which is well worth it. The sea lions were playful and inquisitive and it was a unique experience to interact with them in their own natural environment, there are hundreds of colorful fish to see as well. For lunch we boated over to a pristine beach on Espiritu Santos and had fantastic fresh cervice and sandwiches under a canopy and big table that they set up. This was followed by some very interesting stops on the way home, nesting ground for hundreds of birds, stone carvings on the cliff faces and even a few turtles are know to be found. It is definitely an all day excursion...plan on 10 to 4:30ish from start to finish. The special attention provided by the owners and their crew combined with keeping the groups small made it an outing to remember. A++

I am interested in whale watching only, not swimming with them -particularly the larger whales. Do you do trips for that?
