‪Muy bonita la exhibición de Comme des Garçons.‬

‪La colección del museo es muy buena, la museografía podría ser mejor, aunque se trata de la adaptación de un edificio histórico y lo que se logró es muy aceptable. Suelen tener exhibiciones temporales muy buenas, de hecho lo que nos llevó esta vez al museo fue la de Comme des Garçons. La cafetería tiene un servicio bastante pobre, pero es agradable sentarse con un café y un postre a relajarse después de la visita.‬

‪Captivating space for artifacts and art‬

‪Professionally organized museum of decorative arts featuring ceramics, textiles, furniture and objects d’art in cloister/ancient hospital adjacent to church. Well done temporary exhibition of ‘indigo’ use in textiles and porcelain (azulejos tile). Small space also featured university student art on second level. Covid safe protocols in place and friendly docents, but go early to avoid crowds even at a sana distancia. Cafe in open, airy courtyard with a small garden and fountain is wonderful spot for a contemplative coffee or relaxing beer. Small but lovely gift shop. ‬

‪La petite place devant le musée est magnifique, calme et reposante à quelques minutes du centre de Mexico. Ce musée est situé dans un ancien hôpital, ce qui explique la cour magnifique. Y prendre un café. Pour le musée lui même, il est assez décevant car tout en espagnol et peu de pièces exceptionnelles. payant même le dimanche.‬

‪The courtyard cafe is a wonderful place to unwind from the hustle and bustle of the city outside.‬

‪I first found this courtyard cafe attached to the Franz Mayer Museum over 20 years ago and had a coffee and cheesecake and marveled at how delicious but inexpensive both were. I finally rediscovered its location last year but did not have time to check it out until today another 9 months later. I was not disappointed. They had a good selection of small meals, cakes, pastries and of course coffee, tea, and soft drinks. The prices were not that much higher than over 20 years ago especially for a museum cafe, if you've been to any of them that are attached to museums around the world.

Do yourself a favour after visiting El Palacio de Bellas Artes and the other wonderful museums and churches in the area and get away from the noise of the traffic and have a cup of coffee and a snack and sit down in the shade and listen to the birds singing in the courtyard. You cannot hear ANYTHING of the traffic and city noises outside.

You don't have to pay the full price to get into the museum but you can just pay 10 pesos (50 to 75 cents depending on exchange rates) to access the courtyard and cafe.‬

‪Very nice collection in a great building!‬

‪This place is just behind the Alameda in a beautiful old building that hosts a nice collection of decorative art. Just the building would make the visit worth, however, the collections are also very good.‬

‪Glass exhibit is gone‬

‪Like many museums, this one had very few English displays. The permanent exhibits were fine, the building a little shabby and sinking into the early. Hoping to see the glass temporary exhibit but it moved on.‬

‪Éramos un grupo de maestros queriendo tener una reunión de trabajo un domingo en la mañana. No estorbábamos a nadie, solo había 2 mesas más ocupadas. No nos permitían juntar las mesas, pero las juntamos. Se terminó el jugo de naranja y se tardaron muchísimo en cada orden. Qué lástima, tan tranquilo y agradable lugar!‬

‪Outstanding collection of European design and crafts - even coming from Europe and being used to similar museums, this one was very interesting. Plus the atmosphere, the quiet and beautiful patio with a fountain and the cloister with many benches, all accompanied by classical music gently playing in the background, offers a much welcome oasis after the noise of the city.‬
