‪BLACKFACE - DO NOT SUPPORT!!!‬

‪I was horrified to learn that this performance uses Blackface. I don't recommend attending, as it perpetuates a deep and hateful stereotype toward Blacks globally, and is a demonstration of entrenched racism.

I do not support this performance, and will be contacting Ticketmaster to request a refund. I'm disgusted and appalled.‬

‪Amazing experience, highly recommend. Went for a morning show on Sunday. Ticketmaster tickets can be picked up at the Palace of Fine Arts. I got there at 8:30 am and easily got my ticket at the box office with a verification of an ID and credit card used for purchase.‬

‪Seems like you can see this performance at Bella Artes on Wednesdays and Sundays or at the Esperanza Iris theatre on fridays. Would have preferred to see it at Bella artes but tickets were sold out. The Esperanza theatre was also beautiful however.
Amazing show. Very cultural experience. 1.5 hours will whiz by. Don’t miss this show while in town. Not a big ballet person, but this performance is a conglomeration of Mexican folklore - the traditional instruments, singing, vibrant wardrobe, awe-striking acting, all make it a must see while in Mexico City! Worth the ticket which by the way sell out so purchase at least a few days before at the box office. Purchasing online may get complicated because you have to pick up the tix at a ticketmaster location there are numerous locations but not exactly sure how that works.‬

‪AMAZING - you have to go!!! Get tickets ahead of time. If you order through ticketmasters then know you cannot print out your ticket. You will have to find a ticketmasters location to get your tickets. Whatever the hassle is to get the tickets this is a performance you do NOT want to miss out on. The dancing is phenomenal, the choir and musicians are fabulous and the location (Bellas Artes) is like no other venue!!!‬

‪Los bailarines y los músicos son muy buenos y profesionales. El vestuario es hermoso y las coreografías muy lindas. Tal vez yo acortaría el espectáculo unos 15-20 minutos y agregaría una voz en off con el contexto, historia y origen de cada número. Vale la pena.‬

‪This show exceeded all our expectations. From the dancing to the musicians and the costumes it was just an incredible performance all around. The show ended up being one of the top highlights of our visit to Mexico City.‬

‪We worried that this would be a dumbed-down for tourists event. It was accessible, but it also felt like you were really learning something about the Mexican experience and personality. And it was non-stop entertaining.‬
