‪Best guide and market tour‬

‪We were on the la Merced tour and it was amazing. Our guide Nico was excellent, He had an incredible background, culinary college with an emphasis on food culture and almost 15 years as a cook. His English was impeccable and he was so engaging. We had a wide variety of food, tacos, insects, candy and lots of other things. He was clearly passionate about food. When we come to Mexico City again, we will book another of the company’s tours. We have been on several market tours and this was the best.‬

‪Amazing experience with Clara‬

‪This was an amazing experience with Clara through La Merced. She was knowledgeable about history of the market and food! The kids had a great time and Clara and all the vendors made sure to have options for our adventurous (and non-adventurous) eaters. Muchas gracias, Clara!‬

‪The best way to sample street food!‬

‪This was one of my favorite Mexico City outings! We had a great time, ate a ton of delicious stuff, and learned a lot. Nico was a perfect guide and host - super friendly and knowledgeable. It was great having a local to help us navigate the enormous market - We would have never known where to stop or what to order without him. We tried lots of stuff we probably would not have gotten by ourselves and just overall had a really fun day. Highly recommend!‬

‪Best food tour I've ever done‬

‪This tour through La Merced is a must-do. Clara was such a fantastic guide. Our tour group was four people plus Clara as a guide. The tour is spaced out perfectly so you get just the right amount of portions at each space. Clara taught us so much history about the market, the vendors, the food items, and the individual ingredients. It was so worth it to have a guide with a culinary background. I cannot recommend this tour (and Clara as a guide!) enough if you are interesting in learning about and experiencing La Merced.‬

‪Food tours in Mexico City and Xochimilco‬

‪Really knowledgeable about food, history and culture. We did 2 good tours with these guys - one in Mexico City and the other in Xochimilco and both were excellent. Good variety of food and drinks. I tried things I loved and would have never otherwise eaten. Highly recommended.‬

‪A standout highlight of our Mexico City trip! La Merced is a wild and wonderful place - with no close American corollary. Thousands of vendors packed into tight alley ways that wind for miles almost ensure there is a lot for everyone to explore. But, given its density and complexity, I cannot imagine we would have been even moderately successful or comfortable navigating it without a guide.

Adrian made sure we had a safe, exciting, and exceptional time at La Merced. Adrian helped us gain perspectives on local daily life we simply could not have discovered on our own and expertly guided us to the best of the best food in La Merced. Adrian’s love for his culture and its food and the mutual respect he’s cultivated among La Merced’s vendors is inescapable. Let Adrian introduce you to La Merced. You’ll have an unforgettable time and, no doubt, make a truly fine friend in the process.‬

‪We decided to do a food tour on our last day. Nico was our guide and he was amazing. He was super knowledgeable about everything and anything and he was very kind. I would recommend this tour 100 times over.‬

‪WOW, 10/10 experience.
Had the most amazing time being led by Nico. He was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about everything. I enjoyed my time thoroughly and loved getting learn about the history of some of the food items in addition to getting to taste the food!

Cannot recommend this tour enough. By far my favorite part of my trip to CDMX. Cannot reiterate enough how amazing Nico was. If you can ask for Nico, I would definitely recommend!!‬

‪Delicious taco-filled afternoon‬

‪We just finished a fantastic Chilingo Taco 101 Tour with Tonalli as our guide. It was delicious, highly recommended! Tonalli was a great guide, friendly, knowledgeable and caring. The stops were varied and interesting, and we learned a lot! Despite the name of the tour, we left feeling pleasantly full, rather than overstuffed ;-) we enjoyed everything we ate and wouldn’t hesitate to book another tour with Eat Mexico. Recommended.‬
