O edifício já é, em si, uma obra de arte. Situado na Avenida Francisco I. Madero 17, a rua de pedestres do centro histórico da Cidade do México, é um oásis de conforto e tranquilidade no agito urbano.
Durante minha visita estava apresentando as "Joyas de la Pinacoteca de la Professa", com obras admiráveis.
Vale a visita.

We stumbled in here on our first afternoon and were blown away! The first floor was an exhibition of Yvonne Domenge's work...it'll change in May...but it was world-class. The upper story had lots of folk art pieces that deal with Mexico's difficult past. It was a great way to dive into a single artist's work AND get a taste of a slice of Mexican folk art concerned with injustices.

Esta casa histórica edificada con cantera y tezontle en el siglo XVIII es representativa del barroco novohispano, su ornamentación en cantera es hermosa.
En ella residió el emperador Agustín de Iturbide en 1822.

Simply incredible. Simply huge! There is so much art and crafts here I had to visit 2 times just to see it all, then I came a third time just because I could!
I don't want to spoil it for my dear readers, but within this big old building I found thousands of artworks, many that erase the line between 'fine' and 'folk'. You aren't going to find any Rembrants or Picassos here, just a vast and incredible trove of beautiful creativity, in any medium or style you can imagine, (and then some!), all with a Mexican sensibility. From traditional to avante-garde!
I don't know if any or all of the collection changes over time, but even if it's half as interesting as my first visits, I'm totally looking forward to coming back.

Just imagine this was Emperor Agusti 're Iturbides palace Fit for an emperor even a Mexican one.Great beauty INCREDIBLE craftsmanship well worth the visit......if it's closed to back you won't regret it

Il s'agit du palais le plus beau du XVIII siècle. Propriété d'une banque, il accueille désormais des expositions temporaires. Comme c'est gratuit, ne pas hésitez à y aller. En ce moment, exposition consacrée aux arts populaires.

Tuve la Fortuna de visitar el Museo y recorrer su exposición de artesanías mexicanas de distintos estados, diferentes técnicas y materiales, en conjunto de arte que enamora.

Siempre es bueno pasar a visitar la exposición en turno. Esta vez fueron artesanías de extraordinaria calidad de diferentes estados del país que destacan la habilidad de los artesanos mexicanos

He visitado nuchas veces este lugar, incluso he asisitido a cokteles de inauguración de algunas exposiciones, el lugar es impresionante, la restauración que hicieron es magnifica y las exposicisiones son de una gran calidad, la que esta es una de las mejorers que he visto, estan los mejores de los mejores maestros artesanos, la calidad de las piezas es insuperable
