We just walked in. There were people with guides while we were there. Totally depends on your needs and desires. These murals can be appreciated with or without guidance.

We stayed near the Zoczlo (Cathedral, and main square) and there is plenty to see, just walking around and observing! A comment that 'the city itself is a museum' is on point. We passed St Regis on the way to Chapultapec park to visit the Anthropologic museum. This is a don't miss, we also caught the ballet at Belle Artes building later that evening. (it was on just Sunday's and Wednesday's I recall, so check) The park is a great area, also the clubs and restaurants just north of St. Regis. you'll have a wonderful time. don't worry about seeing 'it all, can't be done in one trip, unless you stayed 2-3 months! Hi If I´m not mistaken, it´s open every day untill 4.30 pm. It will take you around 2 hours to see all the murals. Have a great trip!!
