The only place in Cozumel that refused to admit my certified service dog. They were also very rude about it. I was able to enter much nicer indoor restaurants with no problem & most of this bar is outside.

Great snorkeling and food. Took a Taxi from the cruise port over to the money bar.
We brought our mask and snorkel, but you can also rent them there too. Plenty of table and chairs. A lot of cool fish and a little coral to see. This is where snorkel boats bring their guest to snorkel. Be careful getting in and out of the water, stairs are very slippery and some holes at the end of them. Great food and service, just know all prices are in peso. Will definitely be going back!

The money is just across the street from The Landmark condos where we stayed. The food is average. The key lime pie is awesome. The beach is just a little place but with chairs to lay out, tables and umbrellas to eat at and some shade if you need it. They have fantastic snorkeling right off the ladder. Just go off the ladder and go left. The reef is right along the coast and has some gorgeous fish. There are also some nice spots if you go right off the ladder. If you go out to the bouys there are also some nice areas. Warning, there is often a strong current there. At some times of the day, it was an easy swim, but at others, I had a very difficult time. During the day I have found the service to be lacking and mostly I had to order my own food or drinks at the bar. In the evening, the service is much better. They have happy hour from 5-7 pm. They also have a Starbucks coffee station.

Fui com crianças pequenas e achei excelente alternativa para ver peixinhos sem fazer passeio de barco.
Paga-se somente o que se consome, e os preços não acima do que pratica na Riviera maya. Ninguém te aborrece com consumação mínima nem valor de entrada.
Peixes numerosos no mar em frente, que se acessa por meio de escada direto do restaurante; vários barcos de passeio inclusive passam por lá.

Great place. Very relaxed. Amazing snorkelling. We jumped in a taxi from the ferry port. $10 one way. Bought some drinks. Used the facilities - shower, changing rooms, sun beds etc. no issues. Very enjoyable. And lovely guacamole!

We have been stopping here for years to have lunch while diving. We also have dinner there several evenings during our stay. Today, they turned us away because we aren’t staying at the condos across the street. We came by dive boat and our captain usually drops us off. The guard came rushing down the pier to tell us we weren’t welcome! We were planning to go for dinner several nights but after that experience we will never to back.

Laid back atmosphere not pushy at all great snorkelling although the current is strong. You can either go off the pontoon or down the shallow steps.
Its abundant in fish, and its not bad prices a hidden gem.
No minimum spend unlike corona or others. Food was delicious and reasonable sized portions.

As divers, we don’t really feel like paying $100 bucks to go on a snorkeling boat trip, so we looked up for options of snorkeling from shore. The Money Bar Beach Resort came up several times during our search and it didn’t disappoint.
First of all, the snorkeling was great! The house reef in front of the hotel had way better marine life than we expected. We saw a lot of colorful fish. We also saw beautiful purple sea fans there, which was a welcomed surprise! There was a ladder for swimmers to safely enter the water, and water was crystal-clear. The hotel has a diving shop which rents out snorkeling gears.
Just bear in mind that the rental service closes at 4pm.
The hotel has showers and restrooms on the seafront. Even though we only ordered coffee and fries, staff didn’t mind at all. They let us keep our stuff at the restaurant while going out to snorkel. We really enjoyed our time at the Money Bar Beach Resort and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to snorkel, sunbath, drinking coffee or just enjoying sunset!

On our previous visits to Cozumel we’ve hired a jeep and toured the island but the hassle of sourcing the car, bartering the price, leaving credit card details, paying for add on insurance and all the usual time consuming effort involved in hiring something that would have been scrapped years ago in the UK we chose an alternative option this year and I’d highly recommend doing the same if your there for the day and simply want to snorkel, chill out and eat.
We took the ferry across from Playa car and paid for our tickets at the operators kiosk on the jetty. It saves getting stung by touts elsewhere but beware the official ferry staff will always book tourists into 1st class at a premium price. Despite that it allows you sit outside which is well worth the small additional charge.
On arrival at Cozumel we picked up a taxi from the end of the jetty and paid 150MXN for a 15 min ride to Money Bar just up the coast from the cruise terminals and on the edge of a reef.
There’s no charge for entry provided your eating and they’re not pressing you at all. The bar is a real gem it’s right on the waterfront with good access into the sea and a great place to snorkel. Just beware that the current is reasonably strong and it will drift you down the coast if your not careful. It is suitable for young children but clearly need supervision.
There’s not the range of fish that you’ll see if you take a dive boat but many of the boats pull up at this reef so your seeing much the same as they are.
The food is terrific, reasonably priced and wide variety and the staff are super friendly. They’ll get you a taxi when your ready to leave but it’s a good idea to have dollars handy to pay the driver. Our driver insisted he’d no change and I’d only got large bills which caused a problem.
Highly recommend Money Bar. There are other similar spots on the island but this is the best we’ve found on our trips there. Check out their website for more info !

Did they have snorkel equipment there (such as the snorkel vest) or did you bring your own? Assume no pkgs you can buy its pay as you go?

We brought our own snorkeling equipment. There are places on he island to rent but i dont believe they have equipment at this restaurant.

Hi is there a sandy beach at the money bar or more rocky? Also where you enter to snorkel is it real deep? I’m not a good swimmer. Can u rent a life jacket with the snorkeling equipment? Thanks!!!

Hi there! Our beach is definitely rocky since we have a small reef within our facilities, we do not rent snorkeling equipment however very close to two "houses" of us there is a small place that IS! There you can get a life jacket in the same way! In our perspective our beach is not deep at the beginning, it would have to go deep to begin to feel the levels of depth. We hope you give us the opportunity and visit us!🐠

We just came here for lunch. There wasn't a fee for that.
I have read some comments that the cost of renting snorkel equipment is $10 but have also read $20. Can someone confirm the cost of renting the equipment? Thanks!
