This is an extraordinary gallery, and Susan is a talented and patient instructor, although her standards are very high. I have seen absolute beginners in this class as well as already-accomplished artist. She handles it all with skill.
A day, a month, a year--you will find this a fun and fulfilling experience.

Took a class with Jane Dill. She is an amazing teacher. Had a fabulous day. She has so many techniques that she shares and helped all of us to create something we love.

Wonderful 2 day mixed media and photography workshop with Jane Dill! I learned so much and this is a great opportunity to learn from a true master.

I took the 2 day mixed media photography class with Jane Dill. While I do consider myself a photographer by no means do I consider myself a painter. I can’t even put nail polish in my toes!
But Jane was a patient, creative and encouraging instructor. She gave each of us the individual time we needed and was able to share her knowledge of colour and texture with us and see beyond the simple 4 edges of each photograph that allowed us to create something completely different and original that we could call our own.
I highly recommend this and any mixed media class that Jane teaches.

I attended an art workshop, Mixed Media & Photography with Jane Dill in Feb. 2024. Jane is a gifted teacher and artist, she is very well organized and enthusiastic. I highly recommend her workshops and seeing her unique artistic style. I truly enjoyed her class and the Galeria.

Absract Painting 2- Day Workshop -- really enjoyed learning a creative way to add abstract elements to my personal photos. Jane is a very thorough, organized and enthusiastic instructor. Her resource list was excellent and she followed up with a a clear summary of the "how-to" steps she demonstrated. That was a helpful reminder of key learnings from a very busy class. Definitely recommend her classes!

This one day workshop was superlative. In a systematic and understandable language Jane showed us (and had us utilize) principles of texture, line, form, colour and composition. She showed us how to use many tools to create texture on a board, using a type of plaster which dries quickly and is water soluble. After a number of hours of practice, we created our own 8X8 textured abstract painting. Each was different. Jane is extremely smart, thoughtful, warm and receptive to questions. She had us describe our own work and give feedback on the work of our group of 6. It was a fun, non threatening and supportive environment for beginners and more experienced painters alike. I will definitely take her other workshops when I return to SMA next year.

In the last two weeks I have spent three days in two of Jane Dill’s art classes. I came away with a myriad of ideas for my own art and was so inspired that I am doing another two days at the end of the month. Jane is a knowledgeable, fun and well-organized artist. She is generous with her design, artistic knowledge and resources for supplies. Besides being a stimulating class, the light-filled gallery surrounded with amazing art is itself the perfect environment for the whole experience. I highly recommend Jane Dill’s art classes. You won’t be disappointed.

Sketching with “Rhoda draws” was not only wonderfully instructional, it was also great fun. I am not an experienced sketcher but have tried off and on over the years. Rhoda taught me new skills in composition, perspective, line drawing and shading. Her humor and quit wit takes the pressure off, as she finds strengths in one’s efforts while simultaneously offering helpful critique. …a really fun two day class.

Rhoda is an excellent teacher. It’s amazing how much we learned in two days. I’ve been a sketcher for years but her approach was new, eye-opening, and really works. Not least of all is the witty, direct and intelligent way she teaches. Highly recommended for all levels.

Hi Elaine,
Thank you so much for your inquiry. Our website is under construction due to our permanent move to the Fabrica Aurora. If you email the gallery I will forward your email to all of the teachers and they will send you their brochures/flyers. We have fabulous teachers. Just type in galeriasanfranciscosma ( they won't let me put in our email address but we use gmail.
