We go once a year and, once you get past the unpleasant reception staff who sneer at you because it’s free admission and they fear u might just be out for a cheap day visit, the place is lovely. They do a great job with the animals and they should be commended for that… shame about the interrogations on entry.. I’ve always been happy to donate to such a good cause but the strong arm tactics at the door make we want to do so from home

My little girl is fascinated with horses so what better place to visit than Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Its free to enter and roam around the nature walks and say hello to the horses and donkeys. All the residents looked healthy and happy and was glad to give a little support.

Lovely little place, it's clear to see that the animals were looked after here. Worth popping by for a visit. Nice cafe too with plenty of options

When staying along the coast with our three grandchildren we visited Redwings as we have done before. It is always a great day out and the children look forward to visiting. They enjoy collecting the postage stamps throughout the year, and are always pleased to hand in their bag full to help with the horses and donkeys.
This year they had an early birthday present and adopted a horse and donkey each. They were thrilled and Victoria horse and Esther donkey became the highlight of their few days away with us, so much so we called in on our way home to have another quick look at them! The staff are so friendly and Kirsty in particular was so helpful, answering all the questions they had and they had a lot! She was patient and kind and had a great wealth of knowledge. Hopefully she will be there on their next visit. This really is a great place lots of room for all the horses and donkeys and it’s a great environment for them. Being able to give a donation as you enter makes it affordable for everyone. The gift shop and cafe are easily accessible and have a good array of food on offer at reasonable prices. It’s nice having the play equipment for the children near the cafe.
All in all very worthy of 5 stars and I would definitely recommend it. We will be returning.

Horses and donkeys have plenty of space,shelters in each paddock.Staff very friendly....Nice café and gift shop..Lot of walking involved!!Peaceful setting.

We visited today with granddaughters age 5 and 1. They loved stroking the horses and donkeys. No entry fee but we made a donation. Would definitely come again.
Cafe was very busy as it was school holidays and the ladies looked a bit overwhelmed. There was only one high chair available and luckily no one else needed it. Was told the other one was out for repair. Being a family venue perhaps would be wise to buy a few more.

The school holidays are a particularly busy time for us but we really appreciate your comments, and we will pass them to management to help us improve in that area.

Nice walk around the fields looking at and patting the horses and donkeys. A nice way to pass an hour. The gift and tea shop were a bit pricey, but as it was free entry it wasnt too bad.

A lovely place to visit for an afternoon. We spent about 90mins walking around the paddocks with our toddler then we went to the coffee shop. Great coffee but very slow service even though we were the only ones there. There needs to be more than one person making coffees. Lovely shop and play area. A great family afternoon!

We needed a break after being locked down due to covid. We booked a caravan at a nearby site and my daughter suggested we visit Redwings. Such a really lovely place with plenty to see.
