Beautiful surroundings for all the rescued ponies, horses, mules and donkeys. Well worth a visit - free, but donations welcome. It is a charity that provides care for hundreds of ponies, horses, mules and donkeys around the country, including the numerous animals at Caldecott.
A definite must for all horse-lovers and anyone who just loves animals. The donkeys in particular line up at the fence for a good scratch and enjoy listening to people chatting to them. All the animals have their stories on the fences, and some are heart-breaking and make you realise how the charity is providing a home and care.
Very clean and tidy, handwashing/gel facilities. A lovely cafe and shop - with all funds going to the care of the animals.
As an animal-loving family with two teenagers, we enjoyed a couple of hours meeting the animals.

First time ghat we have visited since the renovations lovely new car park and visitor centre. Horses and donkeys well cared for and happy staff.
Unfortunately there is no longer a cafe play area or gift shop on site. There is also no picnic area we ended up eating ours by the car. Not impressed much better before the changes

We have a large cafe at Redwings Caldecott, located in Caldecott Hall which is a short walk up the path from the Caldecott visitor centre. There a picnic area close to the cafe with a small amount of play equipment in the garden area. There is also a gift shop in the same building as the cafe.
We're sorry to hear you missed exploring that area of the site on this occasion and do hope you will return in the future.

In June mum dad and i went to norfolk for a week holiday. we decided to visit redwings, as we had visited another redwings ages ago, we loved our visit, the horses are beautiful, i adopted a horse called fox

After the usual warm welcome at reception, we spent an hour walking around the site and fussing those animals who were not too busy chomping their hay and grass. It is a joy to see them enjoying a safe haven after the dreadful conditions many of them endured before being rescued. The information boards with photographs are clearly labelled and the hard-working staff are always happy to take the time to give extra information about the animals they are working with. The tea room has a good choice of light meals and there is a wide selection of cakes, all at very reasonable prices, and the gift shop is well stocked with cards, pet food, souvenirs, and locally sourced produce. It is always a pleasure to visit Redwings at any time of the year to appreciate the dedication of those who work so hard to make the lives of the rescued horses and donkeys happy and comfortable. Thank you.

A lovely well kept area for the horses donkeys and ponies..
Individual care is given to all the animals..
Staff all very friendly and helpful.
Cafe and shop is a great asset..
Fairly easy to get a wheelchair around the site.

Lovely place to visit free admission, donations welcome friendly staff lovely well looked after horses!
Boos story really touched me and my partner! The cafe and gift shop were lovely!
Toilets were very clean, my daughter really enjoyed walking around and the visit

We go once a year and, once you get past the unpleasant reception staff who sneer at you because it’s free admission and they fear u might just be out for a cheap day visit, the place is lovely. They do a great job with the animals and they should be commended for that… shame about the interrogations on entry.. I’ve always been happy to donate to such a good cause but the strong arm tactics at the door make we want to do so from home

My little girl is fascinated with horses so what better place to visit than Redwings Horse Sanctuary. Its free to enter and roam around the nature walks and say hello to the horses and donkeys. All the residents looked healthy and happy and was glad to give a little support.
