Confermo che è uno dei borghi più belli d'Italia. E' un gioiellino ed è bello perdersi nelle sue stradette. Tenuto benissimo, pulito e con interessanti ristoranti dove rifocillarsi! Tappa irrinunciabile se si è in zona.

È davvero uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia,ben tenuto,con viste mozzafiato.
Ben tenuto e pulito,con negozi e ristoranti di livello,sicuramente una meta obbligatoria in un giro in Maremma!

We had booked a dinner in this lovely old town and walked around after dinner and shopped in s mama papa food store for dome excellent delicacies. The town is worth going to in day or evening. Highly recommended.

Abbiamo visitato per caso questo Borgo durante una vacanza alle Terme di Saturnia, la visita al Piazza è stata una piacevole sorpresa, un Borgo curatissimo e autentico, merita una visita.

We were staying just outside of Montemerano and visited late one afternoon when there were a number of people around and early the next morning when there were almost none. The latter was the best time.
This very small town is car free and so you have to park outside of the town and walk uphill. Firstly to reach what I would consider to be the main pedestrian thoroughfare. Then, to reach the Piazza del Castello, further up a very steep, wide, cobbled path. You enter the Piazza after passing under an old stone arch (the Porta San Giorgio) to see a series of mainly stone building facades adorned with ivy and flowers. Quite lovely.
We walked down a number of the narrow alleyways leading off the Piazza only to find that most ended in dead ends with entries to houses and staircases to doorways. Only one alley that we followed had stairs leading back down to the main pedestrian thoroughfare.
We visited on a Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning and did not see many cafes or shops open.

se passate in zona da non perdere come molti dei borghi della toscana. Ci siamo stati un mezzogiorno di Agosto col caldo e sicuramente consigliamo di andarci al tramonto per godere del tramonto e di una temperatura piu' gestibile

Piccolo ma splendido borgo medievale, ben conservato e ricco di scorci pittoreschi. Approfittate anche degli ottimi ristoranti e ristori presenti nel paese. Una sosta da non perdere....
