‪WE left Crossing Calamba early morning and reached Luisiana, Laguna (after taking breakfast in Sta Cruz) in two hours. To help the local government, every group visiting the falls is required to hire a tourist guide at P100 per head..We parked the car and proceeded to the site on foot. But we did not go directly to Hulugan since there were smaller falls nearby. After viewing the other falls we proceeded to Hulugan in single file with the assistance of our guide..Walking along the trail is a way to commune with nature. Since it was a Sunday, there were several groups that include kids with parents..Hulugan Falls is awesome. The drop is about 80 ft or so which makes droplets to fall to hikers. There is a small cave behind the cascading water. The falls, the locals said, was once used as a backdrop of the shooting of a forest scene of a Filipino movie. My daughter Thea and her two friends took a dip at the cool water. We also ate our packed lunch on top of boulders near the falling water. The effort and expenses are worth .Commuters can reach the site by taking a jeep from Calamba or Sta Cruz Laguna then to Luisi
It was slippery since the sun had not penetrated the trail going to the falls.‬

‪This place is perhaps our family's favourite waterfall find. There is something so magical here and it is breathtaking. We packed a picnic, make sure you take water to drink, but there is fresh mountain water you can drink from bamboo taps. The walk down to the falls is steep and if it has been raining it will be really slippery so wear suitable footwear. Once there, watch the rainbow sparkles fly off the water as it cascades down. Remember to leave only footprints. There are smaller falls in the area to visit if you have time as well.
Leave early to arrive early, avoiding the crowds.‬

‪Though this is not a secret at all, many people seem to miss out what makes a trip a success. There is a rule of thumb that I have followed for many years, and to this day has paid off, helping me avoid unexpected and unpleasant surprises, that could ruin my whole experience.
But why should I share it , if it`s to my advantage? It probably won`t make much difference at all to me, but could help you instead.

It`s not rocket science, but planning and timing is essential when you put your mind up for something exciting. Make sure you do as much research as possible, to assure that you know exactly what is going to happen, and how you prepare for it.

Everybody is talking about avoiding crowds, yet it`s often crowded!. Holidays and weekends are the worse time to visit popular sights, but they are the only time for most visitors, and leave them with limited choices.

But you can be one step ahead. The earlier you get there, the less crowded it is. We were the first guests to register on a Saturday, because we were early. For more than an hour, we were the only visitors at the falls, making our experience unique, because it was quiet, relaxed and pristine.

It`s also good to listen to others experiences, but don`t make any final conclusions. Your perceptions of self satisfaction may vary a lot from others. You don`t necessarily see things the same way as others.
If you just have the basics of fitness, it`s easy to get to Hulugan Falls. I could run down in less than 10 minutes. That is because we only went to the main attraction and skipped the smaller falls.
Just plan accordingly and find out what suits you, and you are going to have a wonderful time. Eventually you can apply your experiences to almost every other activity.‬

‪This falls is located far from polluted streets. We have to trek for almost an hour to see the hidden beauty of the falls. My friends, including keep asking the guide "ARE WE THERE YET, ATE?" ("Ah-TE" , a respect Filipinos call to a much older ladies), yes our guide to that long trek is a lady. I was thankful that my Gouty knee take a vacation, I was relieve at least.

After that long trekking, we are all mesmerize by the beauty of the 80feet falls. The water was so clean and the smell of the nature paid all the I-am-tired feeling we all have during the trek.

If you want to visit the HULUGAN FALLS, don't forget to bring water proof pouch for your cellphone or camera, a bottled water and a sling bag to secure all your belongings are safe in your body. Don't forget a first aid kit just in-case you get a small scratches on your down or going back to the site.

Over all , THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST TIME OF MY LIFE!‬

‪This is one of the tallest waterfalls I have been to, particularly in Laguna province. The height of the waterfall is easily 70 to 80 meters (200 feet or so). It is also quite wide, maybe 20-25 metres (60-70 feet), and has a strong flow of water. It is virtually a perfect waterfall. One of the things that really blew me away was how many people were there, mostly locals. One of the reasons I thought this would be a good place to visit is that it didn’t seem well known. However, when you see this magnificent work of nature, it’s no wonder it has quickly caught on as a popular place to visit in Laguna province, especially with locals.‬

‪It's around a 30 minute hike, which can be challenging in some areas, but the reward at the end is totally worth it. The waterfall is one of the highest in Laguna, and the area isn't so crowded yet (I believe we went on a holiday, and it was still pretty deserted, with only 1 or 2 other groups visiting at the same time). The water was clear, cool, and very refreshing, and the drop makes it a very powerful waterfall.‬

‪We went here last February when it just rained. We expected to get dirty but not to the extent of what happened to us. Hahaha.
Our trek was a total disaster at least for some of our company (who've been aged), the mud is as thick as snow along all our path, the sun never graced us that day instead showers are present that day.
Meanwhile, it was never a problem for me, it basically adds thrill (at least for me) for the over all experience.
Reaching the falls, the beauty of it was truly mesmerizing and breath-taking. We had a good over-the-falls lunch along the huge rocks adding beauty to the place. Since it rained, the water flowing on the foot of the falls was brown and the currents are super strong. There's a cave near the falls but the shower and the fall's loud noise makes it unreachable for that day.‬

‪It was summer when our colleagues decided to visit Hulugan falls. it was an hour trek from the starting point. along the way you will find different kinds of trees and plants. trails are kind of difficult due to large rocks and muds. there are bamboo rails to help you climb down. The falls are magnificent, the cave like formation and the showering water blown by the air adds a special effects to the surroundings.‬

‪We had a visitor from the US and he wanted to go to this place. It was an hour hike but it was all worth it. The Falls was really beautiful and majestic. Our local tour guide was also very nice. He made sure that our trek was safe and on schedule.

Will definitely recommend this place to my friends and colleagues. ‬

‪Waterfalls are best visited during the rainy season when the water current is strong but not immediately following rainfall as the water becomes muddy and brown. The take off point is Barangay San Salvador. Once there, register at their tourism office and a guide will be provided for a reasonable fee. Trekking for one hour or so, depending on your physical fitness, is required to reach the falls. Be wary though, during the wet season, the trek is difficult as the trail is muddy and slippery. Once there, the falls is marvelous to behold, one of the best in the province of Laguna, and your tiredness will be wiped away upon seeing this majestic waterfalls.‬
