concert at grey eagle nice venue. stayed at officers inn, great boutique hotel, quite, clean, restaurant pub.. bus routes nearby, 7 minutes, walking.

I was a big fan of the Glenbow and used to have a membership. My husband and I were going to be downtown on the weekend and decided to pay the reduced admission fee of $10 each and go for a visit, since we hadn't been there in some time. What a waste of time and money! We didn't realize that the 3rd and 4th floors were closed. There were just a few meagre exhibits left on the 2nd floor. Seriously, it wouldn't be worth my time even if it were free. Such a disappointment.

Ce musée est impressionnant par sa taille imposante. Nous n'avons pas pu le visiter, mais nous le ferons surement lors d'une prochaine visite en ville.

Wonderful museum located in the heart of downtown. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the Glenbow. Excellent displays of art, rocks and minerals, and western Canadian history.

Parking across street is economical and convenient. Reception staff friendly, knowledgeable and helpful.
The first floor displayed some interesting artwork, including a section on the 'unusual'. what was noteworthy was a display of 7 pair womens panties, one for each day of the week. Have never seen that before.
The remaining floors were well presented and informative.

Esse museu é incrível, tem muitas obras de artes. Tem um espaço que fala da colonização canadense e a forma como trataram os antigos moradores. Vale a pena gastar muito tempo nele.

The two times I have visited Glenbow it is always a positive experience and truly unique opportunity to communicate with an artist in an intimate yet large and spacious busy art gallery with many visitors from all over the world. The art selection divided throughout the gallery make it historic & educational at the same time modern and world class art gallery.
Family friendly, disability friendly with additional services and of course, a perfect place to get inspiration for young artists or mature individuals.

They had a number of new art exhibits at the Glenbow, so we decided to check them out. The major exhibit on Sybil Andrews was truly awesome. She had a long life and was active in art throughout all of it, and Glenbow was lucky enough to obtain a substantial collection of her amazing work. Of course, there were smaller exhibits of other equally fascinating artists. The Museum also has other floors of local history and other amazing objects, but we usually come for the art. Glenbow staff are very friendly and helpful, and make a great visit even better.

I love the Glenbow! Although I've gone to the permanent exhibits so many times I ussually skip them now, the rotating exhibits have been truly incredible recently. My favourite part though is the Discovery room, which has arts and crafts activities based on the current exhibit. Beautiful and calming building too. Just the best. I would recommend going for dim sum after also.

Un lugar que vale la pena visitar , rico en cultura, en historia de toda la región. Es un museo que todo visitante de Calgary debería visitar

Est-ce que la nuit du premier jeudi est différente des autres jours? Étant donné que sur le site, ça dit que les exhibitions ferment à 5 PM, donc y aura-t-il les mêmes choses?

I would say a minimum of 3hours. We really didn't allow long enough, just a couple of hours before catching our flight !
There are a number of thought provoking exhibitions and we really wanted to sit and reflect!

I saw a school tour and no daily listed tour. Group tours are available after booking ahead.
Strangely enough, fees for group tours are higher than for solo visitors, $20 v. $16.
