‪Alberta clearly doesn't want tourists - they hit you with a 4% tax on all accommodation and restaurant bills. If you are travelling with a family this can add up ! ! ! Be very careful when budgeting to visit Alberta - it's going to cost you more than you realize‬

‪Beautiful tour, cool place to see‬

‪The tour they give is fun & informative and lasted a bit under an hour. The building is beautiful and learning some history about the province was cool. The place is very accessible from the nearby light rail station.‬

‪Stopped for a visit on the weekend!‬

‪Very beautiful grounds but lots of construction going on! Some things were blocked off but it will be nice when it is all done. My biggest complaint was...on a Saturday...strolling through the grounds sipping a coffee...needed a bathroom! Nowhere to be found! Nothing was open! Had to leave the grounds earlier than planned as we all needed the facilities!‬

‪Très intéressant. La guide était excellente et répondait bien aux questions. Nous avons tout su ce qui nous pourrait nous intéresser. Belle galerie des Premiers ministres et Lieutenants gouverneurs. Bravo aux 5 femmes qui ont défendu les doits des femmes: les femmes sont des personnes 1929.‬

‪Great building, great tour‬

‪We booked online a free tour of this great building, tour lasts about 45 minutes. Tour was interesting and informative. Guide Michael was friendly and answered all our many questions easily. Quite a few stairs but there is an elevator.

Security check on entrance and all backpacks are left at the beginning of the tour.

There is also a Visitor Centre around the corner which shows a great 3D movie with some special effects all about this building and Alberta. . Well worth a visit, only lasts 10 minutes.‬

‪The tour was awesome. Learnt a lot about our Alberta history. The surrounding gardens very nice. The roses in the slate stone maple leaf need some tending to.‬

‪Building in Repair‬

‪Went to the legislative building in July 2022 based on TripAdvisor reviews. The building is in construction with much of the exterior covered in plastic for repairs. So we decided to see the inside as we have at US State Capitols and Victoria BC legislature building. There was an officer at one of the entrances and said we could not enter. Other tourists were also sent away. There was a banner outside that said welcome. But unfortunately we weren’t welcome. Be aware in case your planning to go here as I wasted at least a couple hours when we could have used them for a different Edmonton attraction.‬

‪The Sheriff that yelled at us about using our bell to let pedestrians know we are passing was so rude and disrespectful. I triggered him by using my bell and he was condescending and yelled at us. I walked my scooter in the fountain area as he yelled at us that we couldn’t scooter there when we get there. So we walked when we got there . So many bikes and scooters and people without dogs on leash. And the Sheriff walk around the fountain area and doesn’t stop anyone from doing these activities . Worst Sheriff ever!‬
