Nice Little Gallery & Museum to while away an hour or so in Vancouver Downtown. Very interesting background about familiar art and the artist who created it.

Although the place is called a gallery, it's really a small museum dedicated to the works of a major indigenous artist. The art is diverse (jewelry to large sculpture), beautiful, and nicely displayed and explained. A fine place to visit and learn. The space also shows the work of other indigenous artists inspired by Bill Reid.
(A tip: The gallery isn't visible from the street; you think you've arrived at the designated address, but then you need to go up some steps.)

This is a very useful but small gallery. It shows a very under-served people that need to have the spotlight shone on them. I very much appreciated the works shown in this gallery and wished it was larger.

This is a unique gallery to learn more about First Nations art and culture, which is cool. It is quite small, so you don't need to spend too much time here. Many of the sculptures and totems are especially impressive.

This gallery was on my list of things to visit, we walked by it and I said I need to see this. The architecture is stunning, as well as the way items are exhibited. It was an engaging collection.

The gallery is not huge - you can visit and be out in an hour, but the art pieces in it are wonderful. Very nice staff greeted us upon arrival, and you are free to roam and look as long as you like.

Well worth a visit. Fascinating works and a very good gift shop as well. Right in the center of Vancouver.

I’ve wanted to come here for years and finally had the chance. If you aren’t blown away by the energy, creativity and skill I’m not really sure what to say. If you don’t know much about Bill Reid, this is a great place to start. Other artists’ work is featured as well and I appreciated seeing the beadwork pieces, which I’m always in awe of. Take a moment to go through the gift shop, one of the few places I’ve seen outside Haida Gwaii where you can purchase authentic argillite pieces.

This gallery is easy to miss as it is off a small plaza above street level. To have missed it would have been a great shame. As well as the man himself, there are quality exhibits from other north West Canada First Nation artists. The gift shop has a wide range of quality items for sale, most of which are made by First Nation artists.
