The historic Church of the Holy Trinity, located between the Marriott Downtown and Eaton Centre, provides food to the homeless. This Anglican church is locked most of the time except when it is serving food or holding worship services.

Esta pequeña iglesia se encuentra junto al Eaton Center, atrás del Marriot, en medio de un pequeño espacio con bancas para tomar una pausa. La iglesia es pequeña pero con encanto.

Detrás del lado oeste del colosal Eaton Center aparece cual oasis la Trinity Sq. Nombre que debe a la iglesia anglicana de la Santísima Trinidad.
Cundo se inauguró en 1847 fue la primera iglesia de Toronto que no cobraba a los feligreses por el banco. Hoy destaca por hacer bodas homosexuales, también se hacen en ella conciertos creo los lunes.
No existen imágenes y es una forma de expresión de los cuáqueros que llegan a estas lejanas tierras desde Inglaterra.
Está dentro de una pequeña plaza y casi escondida, justo al lado de esta histórica iglesia hay un laberinto público construido desde Zaharia tiene de diámetro 73 pies
Vale la pena que te des un paseo tanto para ver la iglesia como el laberinto.

We went for a short lunch concert of 1 hour taking place on Mondays („MusicMondays.ca“), and it turned out to be world class. A young pianist, Kevin Ahfaht, played a wonderful selection of classical and more modern pieces on a Steinway piano in this pretty small church from 1850, which we otherwise wouldn’t have visited. A donation of 5 to 10 $ was suggested.

Sarà che sono abituata alle maestose chiese europee con le loro decorazioni, gli affreschi e le vetrate spettacolari, ma questa non mi è sembrata una chiesa speciale. Piccola, ritrovo per i senzatetto in modo che possano stare al caldo quindi svuotata al centro e l'unica parte interessante è quella dell'altare dove si trova anche un bell'organo. Non credo valga la pena andarci, ma se passate di qui entrate anche pochi minuti.

Ohhhh man, geht's mir gut.
Solche Einrichtungen verdienen unseren tiefsten Respekt und große Anerkennung. Die Kirche ( die älteste in Toronto ) ist warm, sauber, trocken und bietet Menschen denen es nicht so gut geht, ein Obdach und Essen und einen Platz zum schlafen. In diesem Sinne verneige ich mich vor der Kirche und den Menschen die das möglich machen .
Es war gut, hier mal rein zu sehen, und ne kleine Spende sollte hier auch immer möglich sein.
Solche Einrichtungen verdienen unseren tiefsten Respekt und große Anerkennung. It was a old church near the Eaton Center of Dundas shopping mall and waking distance. It’s about 1 hrs times to be spent around the church and from there you can walk 5 minuets to Canada tire mall

This is an historical Anglican church in the middle of Toronto and has been part of Toronto since 1847! I admit, I was there for an event, so my impression might be kind of skewed considering I wasn't there for service or something, but this is such a gorgeous church, it's inside a little square and almost tucked away from the busyness of the city surrounding it, you walk in with it's gorgeous wood and stain glass windows and there is an instant calm that envelopes you. a part of me didn't want to leave, a cool thing too, is that if you get a chance to walk around there are little plaques about the history of the church or why certain windows are depicting certain scenes and I learned a lot.

Music Mondays take place May through the first Monday in September. A member of the audience gets to listen to wonderful music from classical to jazz to international. Everything is offered so one can choose or just go to most of the offered selections.
Admission is "pay-as-you-can" so you get to listen to beautiful creative music for a fraction of what you would pay to go to comparable artistes in Toronto.
