Did the Thai cooking class with Chef Chris and his assistant Jessie. Learned a lot and the food was excellent. While we all participated in some of the prep ie chopping, prepping etc the chef by far does most of it. Great way to spend a saturday night. Lots of couples were there but no issue being there in your own. Thanks for a fun time.

I bought a class for my partner and my daughter. They cancelled the class because of low enrollment and would not offer a refund, only gave credit for other classes that didn't fit our schedule. I repeat: they cancelled the class. So now I am out $300+. I would highly recommend booking cooking classes with another company. There are plenty of better options around.

Our team of 19 attended The Chef Upstairs "Iron Chef Challenge" in Oct '23. Chef Pierre's guidance was impeccable and we had the opportunity to prepare and eat a ton of delicious food! We all had a great time and even got to help to make the bananas flambé - so cool! Would definitely recommend as a team-building event - much better than just sitting around a table having dinner at a restaurant. Thanks for the fun!

14 people created the most delicious feast from Provence. We went with two of our good friends. Ingredients are top notch. Chef Pierre was delightful and patient and taught us a lot as each team at different stations cooked the different courses. A fun night to remember always! Bouillabaisse, vegetable soup, chocolate mousse scrumptious.

I was here with a group of coworkers for a team activity, and it was really fun to cook and eat our own food with the supervision of chef Pierre! The staff was very friendly and served really lovely wine. I really recommend it as a team activity!

We did the Valentines virtual cooking class . We had a lot of fun chef Pierre provided great cooking tips abd the food turned put amazing. We will definitely be doing a class again in the future and would recommend to others!

Our dinner on Saturday night was absolutely perfect! Both Pierre and Elle were incredibly professional and accommodating. The food was fantastic, and I truly believe they may have left our kitchen cleaner then it was when they arrived.
All of our guest were very impressed with the concept, the food, the service and asked me to provide them with your contact info, so I’m sure you’ll be hearing more from our dinner party in the future.
Once again thank you making the celebration of my wife’s 50th a incredibly enjoyable evening!

Last night we did our fourth cooking class with The Chef Upstairs, and it was our first in-person experience. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed the previous classes, and it was even that much better without the need to do it via Zoom. (Top marks the Chef Julian and the team though, they made the pivot to online classes last year like it was second nature. They were an excellent experience as well!)
This night's theme was "From Paris With Love" and the menu consisted of Potato Leek Soup and Coq au vin, followed by Crepes for dessert. With patient and professional guidance the meal the class created was truly restaurant-quality affair. All the dishes were flavourful and plentiful, with all the ingredients complimenting their dishes perfectly. We learned that even what we would consider the most unlikely of ingredient pairings can come together in delicious ways. For instance, beets with a chicken dish.
Throughout the evening, Chef Julian rotated the entire group through all of the food preparation stations, including hands-on time at the large gas range. His friendliness, excitement, and absolute joy of cooking left us with an evening we will never forget.
We will definitely do this again and highly recommend The Chef Upstairs classes, no matter if they are in-person or online, you will learn how to prepare new dishes and have a fantastic time doing it.

We have done a couple of virtual classes with the Chef Upstairs and have had great experiences. My teen daughter and her friends just did a fajita party with Chef Pierre, it was fabulous! He gave excellent instruction and kept the girls engaged. I highly recommend this service, especially as some entertainment during lockdown.

HUGE thank you to Chef Elyse & Roberto for the tremendous birthday party they put on for Sam. Not only did Elyse flex to the needs of Sam's younger brother Hugh who's 6yo but Roberto kept the older kiddos engaged & entertained with tasks. Both Elyse & Roberto were patient; kind & thoughtful with our group to the point that both my husband & I were amazed.
