Always loved the place, especially Brennans Eggs and Massad Farms. Dropped by yesterday (March 21/23). Doors are all papered over with a CLOSED PERMANANTLY sign on one of them. So sad :o(

The majority of the location was closed/empty. I thought it was an indoor flea market it really is an indoor farmers market. That could explain the emptiness.
They do have parking and it was easy to find.

Haven't been to Market Square in probably 10 years and I was amazed and disappointed in how much this place has gone downhill. Such a disgrace. Certainly not a tourist attraction. It was messy, with lots of vacant areas.

I visit it 2 or more times a week, as all my food is made from fresh produce. The selection is nothing like the big monopoly stores, but pretty much satisfies my needs, and it's local supplies appeal greatly to me.
Would love to see more of the space occupied, but life for a small time business owner has been made very difficult under Canadian government leadership.
Sure wish more of us felt the need to support local businesses.
Great source of eggs, poultry, specialty meats (sausage etc) and fresh produce.

There are some good shops/vendors here but mostly average to disappointing. The prices aren’t bad, but not great either. It’s ok.

Not sure what this place is supposed to be. Looks great on the outside. Dirty, outdated. Went in, walked around and left without buying anything.

Since the new market opened up, this place has dropped their popularity. 4 years ago, this place used to be packed with vendors and delicious foods. Now when I come here, there is barely anybody. There is one person with vegetables and fruits and another with meat and another with bread and pastries.

Amazing market with amazing food and prices. You will not beat the prices. Everytime we shop here we bring home bags of vegetables and fruit and never spend more than $30. The people that run the vendors are so polite aswell.

This market is not a great place to go to. The only good part in my opinion is the meat counter and egg counter. The vegetables go bad very quickly. Many times, if I don't use the produce within a few days of purchasing it, it has gone moldy/mushy etc.
The bakery is ok but nothing great.
This market has a lot of space but most of it isn't used. Lots of towns have markets that are fun to go to. This market is not. It would be great if it had more options (and if the food that was sold there was fresh). I have wasted LOTS of money buying items at this market that gets thrown away within less than a week. I will be getting my produce from the grocery store from now on. I prefer to shop locally but not if its just going to be a waste of money.

I was here before and I remember this place being more lively and it's too bad because it's a large space and they could do so much more with it. The food items and quality are good, but most of the vendors look bored or unhappy. It does not make me want to rush here. I must have been here on the weekend last time because it was not as enjoyable the last time and that's too bad. It could be something great, but it's not.
