The lake was full to capacity and coracle rides are available in the lake. looks beautiful with the hills and boulders in the background

A beautiful place to see, if you’re visiting Hampi then add this to your itinerary. Beautiful view of Tungabadra river and lake, you can enjoy Coracle ride, please be careful with the tariff they charge ~₹100-150 per person for 10-15 minutes ride. Parking is an issue there and way is also not good.

Sanapur Lake is quite serene, peaceful and the views are just great.
We enjoyed it from the hillock, but one can go close to the lake at ground level and enjoy a Coracle ride.
Rocks and Boulders on the periphery of the lake adds to its charm.

Sanapur Lake is quite serene ,peaceful and the views are just great. I tried Coracle Ride at this lake. This is a total different experience in itself. The prices depend all on your negotiations. It costed me 300 bucks for the solo ride of 5-10 mins. You can negotiate better if you are in a group.

Near to Hampi this Sanapur Lake is something different than Hampi landscape. Placid Waters and serene atmosphere soothes the soul. One can opt for boating in Coracles for a different kind of experience. Rocks and Boulders on the periphery of the lake adds to its charm. It's a must place to visit for an avid traveler.

Так как в Хампи моря нет, а охладиться очень хочется это озеро для этих целей самое оно! Водичка, конечно, прохладненькая, но место красивое. Здесь много местных, которые прыгают с обрывов и купаются. К туристам не пристают.

We spent a few hours at this Sanapur Lake- looks like an artificial one as the water from Tunga has been blocked and retained. There is a road in the middle and coracle rides available on both sides.
Good place to bring in some picnic atmosphere if you plan from Hampi.

I absolutely loved the beauty, serenity and peace at the Sanapur lake. Probably not a very frequented place by travellers, but it's a must! The lake is amazing, there is no commercial activity, and it feels like you're right in the lap of nature. The best part is the unique boat ride that must be taken here - they are not your ordinary boats and will provide you with a cute little adventure!

While Hampi is famous for its unesco heritage group of monuments, it's natural beauty is equally breathtaking. You will find this lake on your way from central hampi to north Hampi. it's beautiful.

It's just a myth to prevent people from jumping into the lake. It works on some but evidently not on some others :P
