Northala Fields in Northolt is an outstanding outdoor recreational space that provides a great environment for children to enjoy. Located amidst spacious fields and sprawling hills, the park offers plenty of opportunities for physical activities and leisurely strolls. The pathways are lined with trees and shrubs, providing natural shade and a pleasant atmosphere.
At Northala Fields, there are many facilities specifically designed for children's entertainment. There is a special playground with slides, swings, climbing frames and other equipment that provide hours of fun play. Families can also bring picnics to enjoy amongst the lush green surroundings or take advantage of the onsite café offering refreshments.
In addition to its playground facilities, Northala Fields hosts events throughout the year including Easter egg hunts, Halloween bonfire nights and Christmas markets. The park also has several open-air sports pitches for football, tennis and basketball along with jogging trails for more adventurous visitors.
Overall, Northala Fields is a fantastic place where families can come together and make wonderful memories while enjoying some fresh air outdoors. With its wide range of activities engaging children in both mind and body, this is definitely one of the best parks in London!

Great scenery, large pack and the hills offer an amazing view of Central London. There's also a big children's playground, cafe, and public toilets. Great for a run or pictnic.

Visited to take part in parkrun (every Saturday at 0900). Nice park, quite despite being very close to the A40 to the north.
Cafe in the park too.
Fishing lakes if that's your thing, plus a shop nearby selling licences and gear.
Very flat so easy to walk and run around.
Popular with dog walkers.

Fishing at northala fields #gethookedonfishing fishing club here paid for fishing and we found a peg and my autistic son who gets easily bored caught around 20 fish, small carp bream and perch! Brilliant day! Also has a cafe to get lunch from. Well worth the visit!

If you live in the Ealing Area then this park should be in your must-visit list.
It's tranquil and vast with so much greenery. They have an amazing playground in the middle of the field and 3 hills you can climb up to see a beautiful view of the city. Just be careful going down as the steps are a bit slippery.They have man-made fishing lake where you can do fishing, it's "cathc-release fishing here so it's more on fun fishing.
We came here to do a day fishing with our kids, which is operated by "Get hooked fishing". It's a 12£/HR session,they provide you with all the equipment and a personal guide. For adults you need to get a fishing rod license which cost 6£ for 1day. I'm so grateful for the men assisting us that day, we were 30 minutes late during our session but they never stopped until all of our boys actually experienced catching a fish. My boys are ecstatic!! We will definitely go back!!

I absolutely love this place, it has always held a dear place in my heart because it’s where my (now) husband and I would talk about our future, getting married, having kids. We love coming here after having lunch in Boxpark, Wembley - it’s like our wholesome tradition now. The views are wonderful and I just love trying scoping out the views around London, this is a lovely area to have a chilled, low key day out with your partner, friends or a day out with the family.
I have always loved this park for so many reasons, mainly because of how in our early years of dating we would talk about our plans for the future and we would always have such a lovely, wholesome day out.
However the main reason I love this place even more is because it’s also where my husband proposed, all our conversations came full circle - so now, it forever has a very special place in my heart ❤️

We arrived fairly early as I’d heard that parking can be an issue. However just after 9.30am we had our choice of spaces. What a lovely place this is. Two play areas. The one for younger children near one car park then a very short walk to the larger wooden frame. Slightly difficult for 3yo to navigate certain parts, but it is designed for older children so that is understandable. We climbed two of the four mounds, had ice cream, walked around the well stocked ponds and had lunch at the little cafe. Three hours filled in easily! We may have stayed longer too if it hadn’t been 28 degrees!! Well worth a visit.

I live opposite Northala Fields. It gets very busy at weekends, bank holidays and on sunny days during the school holidays. Parking is extremely limited and local residents don't appreciate their driveways being blocked or parked on, or parked cars blocking the local bus service. Please leave your cars at home and travel by bus. Plenty of those. The E10 goes from Ealing Broadway via Greenford to Northolt and stops right by the Fields. There are lots of buses that stop on the Ruislip Road (stop Adrienne Avenue, 5 minute walk up Kensington Road will get you there and save you trying to find a parking space). Or from Northolt Station, the 90, 120, 140 and 282 buses will take you to the Target Roundabout. And please take your rubbish home - the bins get very full, despite being emptied regularly. There are picnic tables by the cafe, which is near the children's adventure playground, so you can have a coffee and keep an eye on the kids. There's also another playground by the Kensington Road entrance. There are circular walks up to the top of the hills, but the paths are narrow and necessitate single file at times, but the views from the top are great - on a good day you can see Canary Wharf! There's lots of grassland for picnics, there's a fairground on bank holidays, fishing lakes and a boating lake and lots of walks. But if you go after heavy rain, some of the paths by the lakes can become full of puddles. If you want to avoid crowds, I recommend going before lunchtime - or investigate the countryside park at the back of Smith's Farm estate opposite.

The location is fantastic but the council seems to not care about this place at all. Car parking is limited so you will end up parking on the street. Toilets were a big put off - lights not working, uncleaned toilets, no toilet paper, out of soap. Council needs to invest more in the upkeep of this beautiful location. They could also invest in a tower viewer (paid) to enjoy the view of the beautiful city landmarks.

Is it allowed to have a small celebration there (Birthday Party), or do we need to ask permit?

Hi this place is used for activity generally walking running and ideal for family friends and children
The area is vastly large with numerous sporty events which are held throughout the year
I guess if you want to have a birthday party picnic etc wouldn’t harm, best to check with Ealing Council.
What abt toilet facilities for kids adults

Yes there are toilets for kids/adults right where the cafe is. Baby changing I am unsure of.

There are signs listing prices for fishing per day. I think there is a centre by the café (maybe inside) where you pay. It's right beside the lakes.

Yes, you need the permit to fishing and you may get it from Ealing council or straight in the park fishing office.
