‪Amazing Malicorne pottery‬

‪The oldest faiencerie in Malicorne is an absolute gem. Exquisite handmade pieces with beautiful hand painting. Amazing collection of animals, fruit and saints.

But the openwork pieces are the highlight. Gorgeous baskets and plates all careful handmade. It's incredible to think they are entirely handmade!

Worth a detour to Malicorne just to see this amazing shop!‬

‪A Faience Collector's Dream!‬

‪Not very far from LeMans, is the quiet little village of Malicorne-sur-Sarthe. Within this town is a shop that has been producing faience since the late 1700's! The shops name is Bourg-Joly Malicorne.

Owners M et Mme LeCalvez, resurrected the shop from "the brink" and have continued producing traditional faience forms, as well as, the famous reticulated baskets that Malicorne is known for. Bouurg-Joly has also introduced some modern forms and motifs on dinnerware and accessories, while still producing the familiar animals, birds, figural saints and more. Don't be afraid to shop! Bourg-Joly will pack and ship your purchases!

Before leaving Malicorne, be sure to stop and see the old church, the faience museum and take a stroll along the scenic Sarthe River.‬

‪Une très v=belle faïencerie qu'il serait dommage de ne pas voir .
Une très belle boutique avec des personnes qui vous donnent toutes les explications que vous souhaitez, mais qui savent également vous laisser tranquille pour découvrir tous ces œuvres , oui chaque objet est une œuvre à lui seul‬

‪Très belle boutique‬

‪De passage dans la Sarthe on est en aller à Malicorne on est rentré dans la boutique et atelier bourg joly on a rencontrer une personne passionné par son métier nous a expliquer pleins de petites choses à savoir sur la faïence moi je conseille de faire un tour et de prendre un souvenir 😜🇵🇹‬
