I flew with this company many times over the years and they were one of, if not the best around. Their customer service was second to none. I'm dumbfounded by the one completely misleading review, posted by obviously one of those people who take pleasure in slating everything they encounter. I know the owners of this superb company and the customer in question is blaming RFC for the voucher company telling them they would fly in a Tiger Moth, an aircraft RFC have never owned or operated! They were booked in to fly their biplane but unfortunately the owner had sold it before the flight had taken place. The owners liaised with the customer to offer an alternative aerobatic classic, which was accepted and as it was a cheaper option, the flying time was extended to allow for the difference! (Sounds different to being "changed" doesn't it?) The flight was booked by the voucher company with RFC for the Sunday of the bank holiday and a pilot booked for the flight (being paid to be there). When the time came, nobody turned up for the flight and the pilot had to be paid to sit around waiting. This was obviously because the booking was made by the voucher company incorrectly. RFC had a phone number given to them by the voucher company, to contact the customer, which they did but the number was incorrect and the voucher company didn't work weekends to try and find another contact. The next day, bank holiday Monday, for the first time in 15 years RFC had no flights booked, so for the first time in 15 years decided to not open the office and have a bank holiday monday off! This was the day our hero turned up to fly. I feel sorry for the people turning up on the wrong day but it was hardly the fault of the guys at RFC! What our intrepid reviewer didn't say was that the flight was rebooked when the company could finally contact them, it was thoroughly enjoyed as every one of their flights is and has been over the many years, but somehow that fact got overlooked by the need to "big-up" a slating for effect. The truly devastating fact in all of this, is that in the last year the great owners of Real Flying Company have called it a day and closed the doors, semi-retiring. The great privilege we all (all of us, folks...) had of enjoying this superb institution is now lost to us all forever. I can't help but think complainers like our friend below made the decision for the brilliant team to pack up after so long in the business, a whole lot easier. Well done my friend.....

obviously previous reviewers have had a better experience than we did today. Several months ago my husband booked a virgin experience vintage flight with this company. The type of plane was changed twice- from a tiger moth to a stampe and time of flight changed once all by the Real flying company and he was due to fly in a chipmunk today. We booked a nearby hotel for last night - Sunday - as we didnt want to be stuck in bank holiday traffic and arrive too late. No worries, we turned up but no one from the Real flying company did !!! no contact - text / phone call or email to explain any reason why not./no sign on the reception door/website said open today no answer on their phone number which was not surprising as no one was in the office either to answer it and no other phone contact number given. When we asked in the terminal building if anyone had a contact number one very helpful man phoned a contact of his who did know one of the " real flying company " he was told that they were out of the country !!!!!!! so we could have been waiting for ever . Our family and friends had come to watch this flight experience and we were all very disappointed , not just at the total lack of communication / customer relations and waste of our time but we had arranged a whole weekend away centred on this. Obviously the ? Real flying company had a much better bank holiday than we did . we would advise anyone booking with this company to be wary of their commitment to their customers and that obviously their bank holiday break came before their customers -and they couldnt even be bothered to contact us.

This has got to be the best experience ever . From the time you arrive Lisa makes you feel at ease, gets you kitted out with a jump suit , so at least you look the part . Neil was my pilot and he explained what was going to happen so immediately you are put your at ease . Once we had taken of Neil told me I could fly the plane , Neil tells you what to do which gives you the confidence to be able to do it . Then comes the fun bit ,loop the loop barrel rolls , all sorts . So if you want an unforgettable experience give them a call , you won't regret it .

Friendly service and so helpful. If the wind or clouds arent right then reorganising a flight is no issue. So worth the wait!!
Parking - easy
A warm welcome from people who clearly love their biplanes and want to share it with you. Very safety conscious and explain everything in a calm way.
Barrel rolls, loop the loop - both incredible.
And taking the controls for the nromal flying - what can be better?
Speed - yes! Adrenaline rush - yes. Go again - maybe on another craft - yes
Came out grinning from eat to ear
Leave family to take photos - there is too much to do up in the air

We couldn't have enjoyed it more. Me and my other half went up in both Chipmunks together, we flew in formation on the way out and back and experienced some aerobatics in the middle. Both Neil and Phil were superb fun as were the rest of the team. We will definitely be doing it again!

I purchased an aerobatic experience from Virging experience on my birthday as I love flying and it all turned out as incredible as I expected! My instructor Neil Westwood took great care of me making sure I'm happy with the intensity of overall sensation. He is a born tutor- professional and fun to be with. I did get to take control of the aircraft and it was truly empowering. Highly recommended but definitely not for faint hearted!

Myself and my Brother in Law were given the Acrobatic Experience for our 50th Birthdays.
From the initial contact with the Ops team, right through to the actual day, all I can say is Wow!
On the day we arrived for the experience, we were greeted with warm smiles from Lisa, Neil and Mark. They all put us at ease and discussed every aspect of the Experience and what it would entail. We were able to go up as 'Buddy' flight and we were able to not only enjoy the Loop the Loops, Barrel Rolls, Falls and Rises, all at speed, but we also both got the chance to take the control of the Chipmunks we were in respectively. Everyone involved was happy to answer questions, before, during and after the Flights were completed. We even got to dress like something out of Top Gun - Although our Wives said we were more like Roy 'Chuuby' Brown!!
We cannot recommend the Real Flying Co enough as they really did make our time with them very special.
