Very nice place to visit here to joy the mesmerizing snow 🌨️ water which comes from fals Beautiful nature I strongly recommend this place to visit more people to this place with family.

This is a food place to visit. It is comparatively less crowded.
There is a good approach road constructed now from the main road which was a mud road earlier.
Water is less during Summers , best time to visit is during monsoons or winters.
Steps are built to ease the movement, you may need to stop and rest at some points based on your fitness.
Do not get discouraged by people turning back midway 😀

Very good falls , has to go down by 500 steps , climbing up is little difficult. The view of falls once you go down is good.

This waterfall is near to somavarpet in coorg disrict.There are very limited buses to reach near to this waterfall.I hired an auto for 650 rs from somavarpet busstand.We need to climb down steps to reach this fall.It is a beautiful waterfall and we can enjoy the view of this fall from little distace as we are not allowed to go near to it.They constructed fencing around the fall as it is dangerous to get into the fall.

The water was was awesome during our visit during October after all the rain. You need to climb down all the way and climb up back which need some level of energy. But enjoyable for those who love true challenge. You get different nice views of the falls on the way down which makes it interesting. With a visit, but please note you can’t get near to the falls for a dip. The way down and fencing down resembles jog falls, though it’s not as majestic as Joga.

loved the walk to it, nice place, less crowded generally.. best time is around Sep-Nov.. picture perfect place.

Must visit place - Malalli is a Nature's gift which one must visit! If you are near Somwarpet or staying at Ayatana- you must go.

If you visit in the morning btween 9-10.30am, more beautiful view , else visit during rainy season. you need to step down almost 300 steps to reach ground level.

This was our lockdown retreat. It was really lovely and it was a fun trip. Beautiful falls and scenery..

going in feb-end, we did not see much water and it was quite hot by the time we reached here from pushpagiri hills. road is good though. there are too many steps and managed to reach half way only as kids refused to go further - even folks who were returning were in bad shape. there was water in the falls, but not much from a distance. best time to go is in monsoon /after monsoon season i guess. there is enough parking and a 50 rs charge for cars- avoid day time as it gets hot. few small shops for refreshments are there in parking.

Yes you can. Elders and children can stay on the top and youngsters can go down the steps. About 600 steps down to view the foot of the fall.

Is water available in summer season to see and to swim as well. From the falls. Summer means may, june.

Not sure, but water will be less for sure! Swimming may not be safe any time though!Many travellers have perished according to locals!

Would the waterfall be visible from top or is it compulsory to trek down the 500 steps to see the waterfalls? Disabled people accompanying and hence cannot walk much

You will have to climb down at least 20-40 steps to get a view of the waterfall. I don't remember the waterfall being visible from parking. There are Tea stalls near parking and they may accommodate with a seating space for elderly/disabled if needed.

Mallalli falls do not offer any bathing facility. Bathing in the water from the falls is deemed risky.

I agree with Harish: December is chilly but fog could make your visit more beautiful. Suggest you check status of fog lamps on the car.

It’s a difficult question to answer. From my view point whole year is a great time to visit Coorg. It depends on what type of holiday you wish to experience. During summers ie from April to June it’s hot with many sunny days that golives you opportunity to explore more areas and it is in fact peak time. But monsoons give you another heavenly experience if you love rains and low clouds but it keeps your movements restricted. Winters are also a great time to explore this place, it is cold but beautiful. So take your pick.

Yes, It does! And this is the right season as well.
