Fantastic place run by very knowledgeable volunteers on hand to ask any questions you have or just share their knowledge and stories. Definitely worth a visit and will definitely be back.

What can I say this was a great experience! Everyone there was more than happy to show me and my partner around and tell us all of the great history around the building and in the hangers, we had a great time and the employees made it so much better by telling us stories! Will be going again for sure!

Absolutely loved our visit to Thorpe Camp... Could of really done with 3 hours to take it all in... loads of stories of the various Squadrons and loads to look at including the new Wessex helicopter. Cafe on site did home made cake that went down well with a cup of strong tea.. Great volunteers gave us their knowledge and stories around the hangers and exhibits which added to the whole experience.. Great place ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

A totally hidden gem, fabulous exhibits and there are many of them. Didn't realise it was there, great price, tea room and dog friendly

Lovely afternoon. Visited with Grandchildren, we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Welcome pack for children including colouring and activities. So much to see will definitely visit again. . Young children encouraged to take an interest by looking for information and answering questions and gaining a certificate if all questions answered correctly. Friendly knowledgeable volunteers. Spitfire tearoom a welcome resting place, excellent cakes. Recommend you visit whether you're local or when you visit Lincolnshire

Amazing collection of artefacts from military air history. To walk among the quarters of 617 Dambusters Squadron has been a priceless experience, especially with WW2 aircraft buzzing us today. Well worth a visit. Great staff and lovely tea room too

Spent a brilliant afternoon here, the volunteers do an amazing job. There were so many artefacts about the local area’s involvement in ww2. Can thoroughly recommend

What a fantastic place; a brilliant way to spend a good few hours! There is so much to see and learn, and it's run entirely by volunteers who are friendly, passionate and ready to share their knowledge. I visited with my husband and our 7 year son, who was fascinated by it all. It's definitely worth checking the opening hours before you go, as it only opens Sundays and Wednesdays to work around the volunteers.
Highlights were trying out Morse code, seeing the bomb shelters, the Lancaster Bomber (look for the photo of the dog!) and of course riding around the camp in one of the old jeeps.
We were very glad of the Spitfire Tearoom, where we stopped halfway round for a rest - it's simple but just what you need and very fitting with the surroundings - a lovely slice of cake with a cup of tea.
There is also a fab welcome pack for children with colouring and activities, as well as quiz to do as you go round, which made it fun looking for the answers. They also do different quiz levels (we did Bronze) which is a great incentive to go back! I found out after that my Grandad had helped build one the radars on display there, so must go back again to find it. Thank you for a lovely afternoon, and we look forward to a revisit!

Excellent destination if military & air history is your thing
An absolute wealth of artifacts , displays, exhibits, photos, paraphernalia etc plenty to keep anyone with an interest occupied for an hour or three.
Not necessarily suited for younger children but older ones definitely.
Dogs allowed too.

Thorpe Camp does NOT open in November. It is open from Easter to end-October.

Yes, all of our furry friends are welcome as long as they are well behaved and on a lead. We are proud to have the Rosie Award for our Centre in support of this. We have access to drinking bowls and fresh water for them at all times. Hope this helps. :)

We do have disabled access throughout the Centre, including Parking and Toilets. We can also loan a few items on site such as a Wheelchair, Scooter and/or Walking Aid if required. We provide a NAAFI Cafe serving Tea, Coffee and cold drinks. Also we serve homemade cakes and biscuits. How much is it to visit this attraction do you do lap rates?

Hi Roger, it was £4 per person (worth every penny). Parking was free.
If this is your area of interest, the Dambusters Memorial is a few minutes drive away at Woodhall Spa, and you can park there for 2 hours for free.
