‪Like visiting family to learn grandmas secret recipe‬

‪My adult daughter and I visited Sicily to retrace our roots. Taking this class was a lot more like visiting family. We were welcomed into her home like old friends. We stood around the kitchen counter cooking and talking like I would have done if I were visiting my family. Then we all sat down to dinner, we ate drank wine and laughed again so different then the typical tourist attraction. I felt like I belonged there. I highly recommend this experience.‬

‪Annalisa and Go Sicily are amazing. The tour and cooking class were one of the highlights of my trip in Sicily, and I had an amazing trip! Annalisa is so warm, friendly, funny, and knowledgeable. Her food is delicious! The time with her gave an authentic glimpse into an amazing culture. My mouth is watering just writing this review.‬

‪Cooking class in favara‬

‪Annalisa is a lovely local which takes you through her village to her own house where we had our cooking class. We cooked some vegetarian dishes (which we asked before if possible) .The food was amazing and we had a great time. We did enjoy our couple of hours with her and would highly recommend this experience to everyone who wants to learn some delicious Sicilian dishes.‬

‪Jummy experience door een zeer gepassioneerde Annalisa‬

‪Op zoek gaande naar de authentieke Siciliaanse keuken moet je zeker bij Annalisa zijn.
Ze verwelkomde ons de dag vóór de Cooking Class al met een berichtje waardoor je meteen een positieve connectie voelt.
De dag zelf krijg je een volledige experience vanaf je ontmoeting tot het vertrek. (Zelfs Maserati-rijders krijgt ze “Calmo” 😆)
Annalisa in 1 woord beschrijven is moeilijk : gedreven, gepassioneerd, trots op Sicilië en de Siciliaanse keuken, goede chef-kok,...
Haar vlotte geïnteresseerde omgang maakt dat je een gevoel krijgt alsof je met een goede vriendin aan het koken bent.
Annalisa je doet dat super goed. Heel veel succes met het verwezenlijken van je droom!‬

‪A Night of Cooking to Remember‬

‪What a truly special Sicilian cooking class! Annalisa gave us an evening to remember in her gorgeous hometown of Favara. We made a several course meal together comprised of family recipes from her two grandmothers. We made stuffed zucchini, local pasta a la norma, beef meatballs, and an almond dessert, all in her lovely kitchen. Annalisa not only taught how to make these dishes at home, but also explained the origins, technique, and ways to modify. She made us feel at home, not as her clients, but as her friends. And in doing so, she gave us a window into Sicilian culture. We will never forget it! We would recommend a class with her to anyone (even if remote)!‬

‪Awesome cooking class!‬

‪Annalisa was delightful. She met us in the marketplace, took us to a bakery for fresh bread, then onto her personal kitchen to make homemade pasta, a meat dish and an almond nougat dessert. Delicious! She is super friendly and made us feel warm and welcome. She was patient, great with hands on demonstrations and we felt like we were friends afterwards. Planning to bring a big family group next time with Annalisa! BRAVO! A+++‬

‪My wife and I had a three day cooking experience with Annalisa Pompeo at GoSicily. What a great three days. Annalisa taught us some really interesting Sicilian food dishes and deserts using authentic fresh ingredients. Many thanks Annalisa.‬

‪Good food and a warm heart‬

‪On our trip rhrough Sicily I definitively wanted to have a genuine cooking experience. And that's what I found with Annalisa. At first she showed me and my husband her beloved Favara, we had coffee and a tastfull canolo and after shopping bread and veggies at the local stores we went to her appartment to cook. We made ourselves - at request - a vegetarian lunch: homemade pasta and caponata, the Sicilian way. Annalisa showed herself an enthousiastic guide, host and cooking teacher. She is full of knowledge about the Sicilian kitchen and culture. We keep remembering the good food and her warmheartedness. Grazzi assai Annalisa :)
