What a fabulous morning spent at the Channel Islands Military Museum. A stunning collection of Occupation memorabilia clearly laid out with lots of interesting information.
Thank you also to Damien whose passion and enthusiasm for the subject and his willingness to impart his knowledge, made the visit even more interesting.
If you have an interest in Occupational history of the Channel Islands, this is a place not to be missed!

This is a little gem of a museum with an amazing collection and things to buy as well. Could have been dangerous but my husband was reminding himself we had to get it back home. Well worth the visit, easy on the bus which stops opposite, two minute walk, some toilets nearby.

Brilliant couple of hours spent here. The owner is so passionate about his collection and extremely knowledgeable on the subject of the occupation.
I would highly recommend.

Always nice when visitors take the time to read and look at everything on display. We might not be the biggest Occupation complex that you can visit but we certainly make up for that with the items and stories that are on display. The Occupation is one of the most important periods in the Islands history if not the most important and we try to give visitors the true feeling of what it was actually like during that time. Thank you for your visit.

We visited this brilliant museum with our Scout Group at Easter whilst staying at the Jersey Scout Centre. It was a fabulous museum that really captured the interest of the young people, probably because of the massive number of physical artefacts. A brilliant attraction that we look forward to visiting again :)

Great museum telling the story of the Nazi’s in Jersey and the wider Channel Islands during WW2. Lots of things to look at, very helpful owner who runs the museum. All set in a Nazi bunker. Recommended. 5 stars all the way.

I had researched places for us to see during our belated 30th anniversary trip to Jersey. I was disappointed that the museum would be closed when we were on the island, but Damien was in touch with me via Messenger and we arranged a visit today. It was absolutely worth the effort and was so interesting. Damien has collected so much together and has an amazing interest in and knowledge about the occupation of Jersey in WW2 by the Germans. A tremendous host. Brilliant place and well worth a visit!

We are none of us war enthusiasts but this small museum, housed in a bunker, was absolutely fascinating, with so many artefacts from occupation. Found the sale of Nazi war spoils (medals, registration cards, army issue cutlery etc) rather nauseating but each to their own. Worth a visit!

We enjoyed this visit - Inside a real bunker and more exhibits to look at ( or study) than you can point a stick at.
Opposite the Pearl factory where the bus stop is.
Toilets and beautiful beaches nearby.
Knowledgeable proprietor happy to answer questions.
At just £5 this is top value
Give it a go!

Thank you for visiting and your review. Its been a long hard season and survival is the name of the game. The bills are almost paid for the season and we are confident that next year will be much better both with tourists to the Island and also to the museum. So we look forward to next season and adding to the displays over this winter.

£5 to enter, two bus rides from St Aubin where we were staying but worth it.
It is small, but remember it is within a bunker so do not expect a large room.
The amount of items in there is amazing and well worth it.
If like us you went by bus, kill some time in Jersey Pearl opposite. There is nothing else to see in the area until the next bus arrives.

Not sure when you visited but thank you for the review. I can only assume the weather was a bit off otherwise there is an Ice Cream van in the carpark which does great teas and coffees just down from the museum and then the fantastic golden sand covered beach of St.Ouens Bay, nice to walk along or just sit and watch the world go by. Either before or after a visit to the museum this will certainly make the time fly by. With everything to see, read and listen too in the museum you really can't go wrong.

The exhibit is run by the owner who has amassed an amazing collection of CI war memorabilia and it tells many personal stories of what happened during the occupation both from a local point of view and from the German occupiers
All takes place in an original war bunker the exhibition isn’t huge but it needs 90 minutes plus to give it full justice
Worth every penny of the £5 admission charge
Given the opportunity we’ll be back to absorb some more of experience

Good afternoon,
You need the number 22 and get off at Jersey Pearl. If your journey starts at the bus station I would double check the bus number as they have been known to change it before now.

The bus service in Jersey is really good and there seems to be bus stops either directly outside or very close to all the main tourist attractions on the Island. I don't think you will have any trouble in getting around - enjoy.

I have visited this museum before about 9 yrs ago, and found it very interesting so revisited it today 30th March 2016, again worth the visit as it is packed with the history of Jersey during the occupation and lots of German equipment etc, I would love to know where the radio's and communication apparatus came from originally ? back in 1970 I visited a bunker in La Houge Bie which was a communications bunker full of similar equipment, however that bunker has now been converted to a memorial site probably due to the bunkers poor condition due to age? a refurb has been carried out to create a moving exhibit to the slave labour used during the occupation. But what happened to the equipment ? Would love to know where it went ?

Hi,
The collection that was in Hougue Bie was removed many years ago after a number of the firearms were stolen. Everything used to be hands on in the early days, no guns behind glass or anything, just on racks on the wall. After that it started to gradually get thinned out until it became the memorial it is today. The kit is owned by the Island and is in storage. Our Island Museum service do not particularly like the German Occupation and tend to leave what they have in store, which suites me fine as otherwise there may well be too much on show for people to see. All the items in my museum have been acquired by me over the last 45 years or so. I started collecting when I was 7 and still find it a totally interesting and absorbing period in our Islands history. I just wish more people visited the museum and took advantage of all there is to see. I think £4 a head is a real bargain in this day and age.
Glad you enjoyed your visit,
All the best,
Damien Horn.
