The area is now under the control of Kerala forest department. Most unhelpful and rude staff. We drove 150 km to reach the site for the hiking experience. We reached at 03:20 pm. The forest guards would not allow us to go into trail as they close the trail at 3 pm. There no signboards stating that on the entry points to the roads, no mention this timings anywhere on the internet. Once you challenge that a ready made answer will wait for you- there could be elephant on the way. I never knew there was an elephant coming to that trail exactly after 3 pm everyday.
They absolutely no sympathy for the effort you have taken. Could anyone believe that a tourist attraction would close the doors by 3 pm on midday!! . No wonder the tourism industry is in the ruins in Kerala

The trek itself was a challenging one, but the stunning views of the surrounding mountains and forests made it all worth it. The trek started off with a steep climb, but the views of the dense forests and the cool breeze helped us keep going. The trail was well-marked and the trekking guides were very helpful and knowledgeable, providing us with interesting information about the flora and fauna of the area.

A small hill station and very close to Bekal / Kasargod. A small track of around 3 Km uphills. The place is kept plastic free which was very good.

This is the very best place for nathur viewing and enjoyed nature I suggest all pepols go and visit this place . I hope yuo enjoyed nature And this place.please visit it . this plase is very clean and cold place. I also advice you will realy enjoyed this place. This is one of the best place for meditate your mind.

Ranipuram is the Queen of Grassland, a gorgeous place of Kerala. The breathtaking beauty of Ranipuram hill station of Kasargod is a major tourist attraction of Kerala. It is approx 750 m above the sea level of Western Ghat. This lush green hill station is one of the most favorite places for the travelers, who love to trek. Poor transportation facility has made the place very off beat and a hidden place for the travelers, however now there is little improvement in transport.

Ranipuram is a hill station and a tourist Centre in the Indian state of Kerala. Situated in the Vellarikundu taluk, Kasargod District, Ranipuram mountain peak rises to 1022 metres above the sea level. Ranipuram is adjacent to Kottancheri-Talakaveri mountain range.
