The title of the review says it all. Where else can you access Olympic caliber equipment and amenities at such a convenient location.

The Oval is build for the 2010 Winter Olympics ,after the 2010 ,they turn this lovely sport center to an indoor multi sports arena ,like family skating ,fitness class ,wall climbing ,and a lot of family sports ,hockey ,volleyball ,and a lot of simulators around ,excellent staff ,all ways helpful, and friendly ,and very clean ,coffee shop is great too ,must visit if you have out of town guest , around 2 hours good fun ,try the public skating ,it is so cool ! not pricey at all .

Went to the oval for a reception. We really enjoyed the simulators...bobsledding, skiing, kayaking and driving.

The staff were so helpful, they showed us how to work the simulators, and there seemed to be someone in every area. They would give us short tours, show us some artifacts, and help when you were confused how to do something.the simulators where pretty great, except for the kayak one which we figured out you could do nothing, and still place first.

We where a family with 2 teenagers, and We had great fun here, espacialy the different simulator where great fun (racingcar, ski jump, kajak, bobslead etc) and 100 % worth the visit. We used around 2 hrs there.

Interesting history of the Olympics and more specifically the Olympics in Vancouver. Lots of simulations put you in athlete's shoes!

We had a great time at this venue, great food, great fun and excellent service. It was also educational so it ticked off several boxes for a great fun night after a day of work.

A dull experience made worse by pushy guides rushing me through the exhibits whilst having little knowledge of the displays nor the workings of the simulators. The interactive sport simulators were neither challenging nor truly interactive, damningly only the non-Olympic racing car engaged and challenged. Memorabilia similarly lacked engagement, signage often just: ‘Fred’s boots’; but who was Fred? I’ve been to three Games, this disappointing Experience captured none of their spirit and vibrancy.

What do I mean, 'second class marketing'? Well marketing starts at home and works outward and I suggest less then 1% of the half million people of Richmond B.C. can tell you what is in the 'Richmond Oval' and less then 1,000 people can tell you what the abbreviation ROX means. I have done my own little surveys of Richmondites by asking the simple questions of why should I go? The answers were sketchy at best varying from 'White Elephant' to 'skating rinks'. Few people seem to know that there is an interactive museum dedicated to the Olympic Experience inside the Richmond Oval. It costs nothing but $1.00 an hour for parking to visit, ie walk thru the building and the outside area. Going to the theater and playing on the simulators costs normal museum type prices, ie say $13.70 CDN for a Senior or about $10.00 US. Lots of fun these simulators, bobsled, ski jump, race cars.....!!!! AND...so much could be added to make it even more fun.

Great place to visit, especially as I have been a lifelong Olympic fan. Very friendly employees. Reasonably priced. Fun simulators.
