‪A fabulous park to hike, picnic, swim and just relax on a park bench by the water and enjoy the views. Ample parking and restrooms. ‬

‪History and Nature all in One!‬
يوليو 2020
‪My mom and I were looking for somewhere near by for an afternoon walk and decided to visit Deas Island Regional Park. We were pleased to find ample parking and excellent signage about the site and the trails. Several historic buildings have been moved to the site from parts of Delta. They've been restored and painted in attractive, coordinating colours. If you're a fan of Raymond Burr, Canadian-American actor primarily known for his title roles in the television dramas Perry Mason and Ironside, you'll be interested to know that the house on the site belonged to members of his family. My mom nursed one of the family for many years in the local extended care home and remembered many of her stories.

There is a rowing club where you can sit and watch the rowers, lovely trails through cotton wood trees along the water, and picnic areas along the beach. I highly recommend the park for your next outing!‬

‪Nice place to walk my dogs‬
يوليو 2019
‪Took a long walk down the dyke and usually turn around at the end and walk back, but one day ventured further and ended up in the Deas Island Regional Park. Was a lovely walk along the water and past the old buildings that still sit on the property. There is a fair amount of parking if you wish to drive down and not walk so far as wee did. Lovely quiet area when we were there, quite enjoyable.‬

‪Easy bike ride away‬
العائلة • يونيو 2019
‪We ride our bikes here fairly often in the summer. There are quite a few picnic tables on the slew and Fraser river side. Nice views. Clean and accessible. Further down there are large covered picnic tables for big event BBQ's and large open field for sporting activities The trails are well manicured and easy to to walk. We love this spot ‬

‪My Second Home‬
الأصدقاء • فبراير 2019
‪I spend a lot of time here because I belong to the rowing club. Last week there was no rowing because the slough was frozen but I came here for three days running to go cross country skiing. The park guys were amazing. Not only did they plough all the roads and parking spots which made the park more accessible even than the highway but they track set the trails with a fat tire truck. The skiing was amazing.‬

‪Great flat trails, perfect for rugged stroller‬
العائلة • مايو 2018
‪Took the family to Deas Island. We had a great walk around the island, wish we brought a rugged stroller for our 2 year old, as she needed carrying at times. Lots of shade, yet some beautiful flowers in some of the clearings. Our oldest even got to play tag with a new friend. Note that the trail is small crushed stone or gravel in most places, however sand in parts. Not for biking except on the road. Dogs were well behaved and leashed. Patrolled by park staff on a bike. If you are thirsty, April till October there is a water fountain at the picnic tables at the last parking lot (middle of the island).‬

‪Walk along the Fraser River‬
زوجان • فبراير 2018
‪It was a sunny but cold day, which made it a nice walk around Deas Island. It’s a flat loop so took us about an hour to leisurely walk around. You can also paddle there. The nicest part was everyone on the trail was very friendly. I must have said hello over a dozen times!‬

‪Handy little park close to everybody‬
بمفردك • أغسطس 2017
‪I decided to cycle to the park from my place, taking back roads and trails. It has some walking trails, located along the fraser river and has restrooms, picnic areas and tables. There is also a dock and a rowing club that practices here. There was a wedding being held in the park and small building. I think it went well and they would get some great wedding photos here. There is free parking and no food options. With being only a couple of minutes from several main roads and is super convenient!‬

‪Interesting History‬
يونيو 2017
‪I did some research prior to going to this park. One piece of history is the greek fellow who resided here, did so with his Songhee First Nation wife. Eventually the fellow changed his last name, as he was an illegal immigrant, and became John Stevens. Fishing on the Fraser was their livelihood. How the fellow and his wife made there way to the other little community is not on any video or written on any plaques in the park. This couple still fished and stayed in their houseboat along the Fraser, although they made there home in what we know call Steveston. There is a picnic area, an area to fish, a grass area for children to run and play amd some historic houses! There are bats nesting in the attic of one of the houses. It's a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle and it's flat, for walking.‬
