This park is absolutely wonderful! You'll love the stunning views it offers. It’s a perfect spot for a stroll, a hike, a jog, or even a bike ride. There’s so much to explore here, from interesting monuments to informative signs and beautiful sights.
Plus, the location gives you breathtaking scenes of the river and Parliament Hill. It's truly a delightful place to spend some time!

Not much to see here. There are no sculptures or local businesses! Pictures are old, and many restoration sites on the ground!

Helaas zijn de meeste foto's van de sculpturen van de tentoonstelling MosaiCanada uit 2017 en zijn er nu geen sculpturen meer te zien. Gelukkig waren er nu nog wel tulpen van een festival te zien.

The sculptures in the pics are not there now. So don't look at the pics and get excited to visit. There is nothing much to see there other than the lake view and the bridge you see from far

Si vous louez un chalet EXP, évitez LaFrayere. C'est le dernier sur le site des EXP et aussi le plus proche d'une bande de Scouts assez bruyants qui campe a proximité.

I agree with Lacy and some of the others who've reviewed the park recently... It's a pleasant place to stroll by the water but doesn't really have much more to offer than your hometown, municipal park.

The northern end of the park was a sawmill operation in the late 1800s and some old ruins and infrastructure can still be found for those exploring deeper. Online searches for Gilmour Steam Mill will give you more information.
Check out the exterior of the office building at the north end of the parking lot while you are here. It was originally an office building for the steam mill and has several carvings on the exterior that are thought to have been leftovers that were originally intended for Parliament Hill.

Pour voir Ottawa c'est le meilleur spot. Super long parc bien entretenu. Nous avons loué des vélos pour toute la famille à 10$ par personne pour la journée alors qu'à Ottawa c'est au moins 30$. Personne sympathique. On a longé le parc, traversé par le pont du Portage, fait le Monument National de l'Holocauste et longé la rivière des Outaouais. Retour par le pont McDonald. Super trajet

The pictures of this park look amazing but in reality, there is nothing here. There are trails to walk down but the grass is all fenced off and there is nothing to see here. It was nice to walk along the water and look across but it's not a garden or anything special so this is not really a fun activity and my kids were very disappointed to just go for a walk. I wish it was more clear that the garden is gone when searching for things to do in the area.

Very pleasant, especially with the Florilèges, easy access, quiet and much more interesting than Ottawa, which is basically an empty shell at the best of times. The park is on the edge of the river, so both cities are within easy reach.

The sculptures are there this year and fabulous .
However there is an entrance fee of $20 this year.... I believe they have family rates as well.

my wife is usually on a walker which converts to a wheelchair, so I occasionally push her. Do I understand correctly that the surface is crushed gravel? If so, we would probably try to rent an electric scooter.
