The lighthouse was fabulous. It's so interesting to see how the light keeper's lived. The other museum buildings were also amazing. The ticket seller was informative (and it's worth the $8) Glad we stopped.

You do have to pay to enter and we opted not to. But we did enjoy the wooden overlook. It provides great photo ops and a great view of the area.

We visited the lighthouse latter in the day after it had closed, so we could not go inside, but we were free to wander around for pictures. There is a viewing platform that you can go up on and get a pretty excellent angle, especially in the afternoon sun. My daughter also climbed down the rocks to the shore to check it out and look for rocks. This one does not disappoint. It's beautiful.

This is a must see self touring museum, it’s very interesting with a lot history. Its $8.00 a person and well worth it, plan an hour or 90 minutes, easy to find and plenty of parking. Pack a picnic basket and enjoy the day and view.

We drove here from Copper Harbor via Brockway Mountain Drive. This is a very informative spot regarding shipping in the area. Setting is beautiful!

Wow! We saved the best for last on our Lake Superior South Shore vacation. This light is so majestic overlooking the Lake. The architecture and colors are awesome. One of the volunteers, Tom greeted us at the grounds entrance and we only paid $8 per person to tour the lighthouse. The grounds are Free. This is a “must see” for anyone who is on the Lake Superior Circle Tour and/or wants to see the interior of an impressive light fully furnished to the correct time period. This is one of the few times everyone in our family of seven agreed it was worth the visit.

This place was easy to find. The buildings were locked because of Covid but the views were nice. The kids really liked it.

The facilities are currently closed, but the grounds surrounding the buildings have a few things gs to look at. Hopefully the covid pandemic will let up and things can get back to normal.

Recommended by locals, this was a short stroll after dinner at the Eagle Harbor Inn (delicious!), and we watched a beautiful sunset from the Lighthouse deck.

Stopped in late Aug 2020 on the drive back from Copper Harbor. Saw the light house and decided to drive by and turned out it was accessible even though it was closed. I'm assuming closed due to the pandemic but it has a museum and I believe typical charge for the grounds. Great views of the harbor, would not have minded to pay $5 for this.

It sits on fairly good sized park grounds and I saw no signs prohibiting pets. Indoors in the museum and historical buildings I am uncertain but generally a pet friendly area.
