During our recent stay in Bath, we experienced the River Avon in a number of different ways.
On the first occasion we walked across the Bath Cross Over Bridge (North Parade Bridge). From there we took the steps down to the towpath and we headed off in the direction of the iconic Pulteney Bridge.
On the way, walking the tree lined towpath, we passed the Bath Pavilion, the Sports and Leisure Centre, Bath Rugby and the Beazer Garden Maze. On the riverside is where Pulteney Cruisers is located adjacent to the impressive Pulteney Bridge. We took the stone steps up from the towpath up to Pulteney Bridge.
We did return later to take a short cruise (Pulteney) along the River up as far as Batheaston Toll Bridge and Weir. We also passed Bathampton Mill and Bath Boat Station. We also sailed under Pulteney, Cleveland and Grosvenor Bridges.
We did enjoy both our of experiences along the River.

Most reviews on here are from Bristol & Bath,but I walked along the river Avon in Salisbury.
A lovely walk from The Maltings down to Queen Elizabeth Gardens, with a lovely view of the cathedral spire and the bridges along the way.
Not a long walk but well worth it.

The River Avon – There are several rivers named Avon in Britain as Avon is a cognate of the Welsh word afon, or river. The Avon River that flows through Bath and Bristol rises just north of Acton Turville in South Gloucestershire and is navigable from Bath to Bristol. It is 121 km long, the 19th longest river in the United Kingdom. The stretch from the Pulteney Bridge in Bath downstream 700 meters to the Bath Locks and the river at Bristol are particularly popular stretches for riverside strolls, although picturesque bridges span the river throughout its length. Visited late Fall 2019.

We saw the River Avon while in Bath. There were many park areas where people were picnicking and just soaking up the sun on a beautiful day. There were many birds sitting on the weirs and there was a tour boat. Nice and relaxing area.

The River Avon is absolutely beautiful with its running waters, swans, ducks and birds. There are also riverboats for tours and some converted into restaurants. Very nice and relaxing walk along it’s banks.

W czasie dluzszego pobytu w Bristolu warto odbyc spacer nad Avon. Przemierzyc w obie strony najciekawszy 6 km odcinek sciezki spacerowej wzdluz brzegu rzeki, tj. od Netham Park (od kolejowego dworca glownego ul.Feeder 20 min. pieszo) az do pubu za mostem z obwodnicá. Po drodze, kierujác sie szlakowskazami (vide fot.) warto zboczyc na wzgorze Troopers Hill (z kominem na szczycie - pozostalosc po zakladzie przemyslowym), z ktorego rozposciera sie rozlegla panorama miasta i jego okolic. Natomiast za Cohnam River Park przejsc widokowy kilkusetmetrowy odcinek krawedziá urwiska, do ktorego z poziomu rzeki skieruja nas szlakowskazy (m.in. z napisem Panorama Walk).

Walked the stretch of the Avon from the Clifton suspension bridge round to the Bristol quay side. Lots of activity on the river, pleasure craft, paddleboarding, canoeing. Lovely scenery up to the suspension bridge. Lots of wild life seen. Nice views of the famous coloured houses, and local and historical architecture. Lovely way to spend a few hours and a nice drink when you get to the famous quayside at one of the cafes and bars.

We walked along the stretch in bath from behind Morrison's to Grosvenor Bridge.
While I was pleasantly surprised to see people having jolly japes doing a bit of boating and punting, I was thoroughly disgusted at the amount of animal and even human waste on this path.

バースの町を取り囲むようにエイボン川は流れています。有名なバルトニー橋の下を流れています。時間がなかったのでそこからの眺めのみでしたが、橋のたもとにボートクルーズの発着所があったので、そこからエイボン川の遊覧ができます。

We walked some distance along the river during our short visit to Bath. One of the places was around Pulteney Bridge. A really wonderful spot. The views are beautiful and in some parts quite calm and quiet.
