Went for a work event, we did some bowling and had pizza and drinks. I have no complaints it was a smooth experience with a good atmosphere and the pizza is worth coming back for!

So I came here for my hen do this month for activities and food.
It was a mixed experience - it was a shame that they couldn’t have started our bowling game a little later. It was raining ☔️ and some of our group struggled to get a taxi to make the 6pm time. I think they were 15 mins late but the management refused to start the bowls game at 6:15pm despite this which was a shame. I am not sure I would do the Karaoke again - how can you do karaoke when there is a heavy metal band on ?! Bizarre.
However I thought the food and drinks were great and it was I think just under £20 each which is good value however the activities could be improved for sure.

Understaffed, under stocked, no management.
I really felt for the staff as it appears the management are actively running this site into the ground.
Have been previously and whilst the service wasn't great then, this time it was awful.
Drinks wait over 30 mins for a queue of 3 people.
You order food and it doesn't arrive after an hour. When they finally agree to make it the ingredients are out of stock with no alternatives.
It isn't cheap, it isn't clean, I wouldn't drink anything unless it's out of a bottle.
Support your staff with training and sensible shift allocation. You have a goldmine here. Don't squander it!

Great place to see a band, often for free, books a lot of very competent and experienced bands playing warm ups often on tour from overseas - with a lot of excitement in the air - in an intimate setting. As you're watching the band you have to contend with a few pizzas being carried through the crowd, or numpties herding past the stage to the bowling alley, but even some of them enjoy the music. Good range of beer - a real asset to Bristols music scene.

I’ve been to The Lanes a few times over the years, and every single time ended up mugged off. I’m not coming back again.
The bowling lanes frequently malfunction, and you’re left waiting for it to be fixed. You don’t get extra time.
Today we paid for half an hour on the pool table, and a female member of staff came over after 15 minutes to tell us we had to wrap it up quickly. It turns out they’d sold a booking for another party less than half an hour after us. Not only that, but she spoke aggressively and dismissively.
I wouldn’t recommend this venue. There are far better places in Bristol.

Me and my friends came to Taylor Swift party and also played two rounds of bowling. The bowling hall was okay and I’ve enjoyed the game.
However can’t say the same about staff, I have asked for two lemonades - no alcohol and just one white wine. The barman started to pour white wine in two glasses ignoring my lemonade requests. I was aware the music was loud so I repeated myself twice but getting annoyed by the incopetence of the barman after repeating the order three times. He then refused to serve me as he claimed I’ve got an ‘attitude’ which I believe was just gaslighting to hide the fact that he was unable to do the order properly. I’ve then gave up and said to my friend if she can order, and they refused to serve her too as she was with me. The security took me out and told me that the music was too loud and I was rude, I’ve explained that I’ve just repeated the order multiple times, politely apologised and left.
I suggest that only people who are fit and competent for the role of barman should be hired and the staff this night was not the case. Terrible experience but at least the bowling game was good, however would suggest other place as the staff at Lanes is just miserable.

We were put back three times last night,from 8 to 8-10,8-15 and then 8-20and when we did get on all ten off us
The game was ended before we had finished because we had apparently ran over on are time
Definitely won’t be coming here again or recommending

We came to the lanes as a works Christmas Party. We had bowling, food and a few drinks. The two serving bar staff were accommodating, happy and helpful. The food served was plentiful. We had pizza, tortilla chips and dips plus Fries. The venue did not have Christmas music playing, so we asked for a few tunes from the lovely bar staff. Which was accommodated until the manager told a member of bar staff to turn it off ( from what we have been given to understand ) now while we appreciate the student clientele in main bar, christmas parties were also advertised at this venue for all, we were a party from age 30s upwards and kind of felt this a little ageist and unaccomodating. So overall rating is purely a 3 overall based on lovely bar staff and food, not overall ambience for Christmas or christmas atmosphere put forward by management team or manager ao overall very disappointed and would not recommendor visit voluntarily again without more positive feedback. To add, toliets lovely and clean but ground floor malodorous. Floor sticky.

WE HIRED A KARAOKE ROOM FOR A BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION. THE ROOM WAS FILTHY, STICKY TABLES ETC - JUST HORRIBLE. PEOPLE WANDERING IN - THERES SOME SORT OF HOSTEL IN THE SAME BUILDING. ALL UNSUPERVISED. Was all prepaid snd we had 10 15 year olds - not much we could do on the day. Complained afterwards but no one even acknowledged it or replied. 1 star for karaoke machine as it worked!

Great bar, lovely interior, brilliant food and good selection of craft beers. Would be a 5 star if the staff didn’t let it down so much! No smiles, no hello or manners, walk around like they hate the place; very clear they didn’t want to be there. Come here pretty regularly and only had one or two good experiences with bar staff. They really let such a great bar down.
