High Wycombe seems to make little use of this landmark building of great historic importance to promote it as a visitor attraction in the heart os the old town. It is an empty windy covered space with little to attract a stay of more than a few minutes. The cafe mentioned in another review may no longer exist - there was no sign of it on our visit. Inside there is a large and evocative display on the wall of the historic tolls paid by market traders but this is covered by a protective perspex screen that is poorly maintained. Just have a look in passing when visiting the area, but may not be worth a special trip.

水果比较多，非常便宜，这条街购物也非常方便，超市药店银行餐饮应有尽有。走五分钟edon购物中心有星巴克，电影院。旁边走出去有Oxford巴士站，非常方便。

This delightful piece of civic architecture with all its history is spoilt by the market that occupies this locality.

This is a lovely little building in the centre of town. The market is located around the building. Locally known as The Pepper Pot due to its shape.

This lovely building is the drop back to a busy street food market. The surrounding stalls were busy on a Friday lunchtime. Nice ambionse.

This unusual red brick octagonal building opposite the Guildhall in the Cornmarket area of High Wycombe is believed to date from 1604. It was remodelled by the famous architect Robert Adam in 1761. There is a café in the open area under the building. It has two areas upstairs, one of which is currently occupied by the Business Improvement District (BID) organisation for High Wycombe. The other is available for public hire. The wall of the café area has a fascinating showing the market tolls payable by stall holders in Victorian times. The building is universally known to locals as the Pepper Pot but was also called The Shambles in the past. This is well worth a visit if you're in High Wycombe.
