I just called to check if they were open on a Thursday night or mid-week only to be told they are open Monday, Friday, Saturday and Sundays.

A group of 6 children and 3 adults decided to visit here as a central location over the holidays for fun for the children. What a disaster, from awful customer service- basciallly being ignored while standing at the counter. They happily took my payment for the children to bowl but couldn't tell us which lane, we returned to be told ' oh yeah ' as if they had forgotten, I had to ask 3 times for the sides to be put up. the machine was then broken and we were told to 'make do'.
what topped it off was the awful wait for food, an hour after ordering I complained to be told it was next, to then watch 2 other people be served. some children were served before others and therefore we had 4 children waiting for the last two. our friends ended up having to leave before my children and I had been served.
Try training your staff properly at quiet moments and for gods sake invest some money into your equipment!

A truly awful experience and you should avoid using this place at all costs. Last Monday my wife and I took our two grandchildren (11 and 6 years) for a treat before returning to school the next day. On arrival there were no staff at reception and we waited for 10 minutes for someone to appear. No "sorry for keeping you waiting", just "yea, what do you want ?". We were allocated lane 3 and began the game. Within no time at all the machinery broke down and we then had to find Drew, the dogs body, to come and fix it. This happened 3 or 4 times throughout the game and each time we had to search for Drew to fix it. The final straw was the whole system failed on the final bowl and all scores disappeared. At this point I returned to the reception desk and asked Drew and Chloe for a refund as the whole event had been a disaster. I am convinced these two staff members do not have 2 IQ's to rub together. We were met with a wall of excuses as to why this was not an option. Our granddaughter (6 years) dissolved into tears at the hostility and the "couldn't care less attitude" given over given over by these two clowns. In frustration we decided to leave and I said " we wont be back, just forget it". Drew's response was "we will". The toilets were a disgusting mess and I dread to think what the food was like as the kitchen look equally disgusting. Don't waste your money at this place.

We booked 2 games of bowling for 4 people, haven't been for ages so was looking forward to it. Arrived and understandably had to wait about 15 minutes for our lane to be available as only 4 lanes were working. The staff explained this was because the engineer is part time and they've had no training in how to fix the machinery.
Half way through the first game the mechanism for the pins froze, several minutes later one member of staff tried to fix it, then a second, then the 'duty manager' Chloe. 20 minutes later and no sign of the problem resolving or an update, we were finally offered a free drink, which we declined as we had a dinner reservation to get to later. By now only 1 lane in the whole place was still working. We asked for a refund only to be told they are unable to do card refunds but would get the manager. Another 10 minutes later Chloe finally returned from unsuccessfully trying to fix the machines, without a smile, apology, or any sort of empathy. She spent further time muddling about with the till, then said she would need to make a phone call to get permission to give a refund. We asked that they gave us our refund and then sort out their admin about it, however we were ridiculously told it would appear as 'stealing' when cashing up the till. Chloe's attitude was shocking, especially as apparently in charge. She disappeared leaving the 2 poor members of staff, who were actually very apologetic and helpful, to try and explain the nonsense. So after hanging about for a total of over 45 minutes, eventually one of the staff just opened the till to refund our games and drinks. No further sign of Chole - not great leadership! We were told Strikes is closing in January, sooner rather than later might be better, don't leave poor unqualified staff to deal with the mess of a half open establishment. Or a least employ a manager with some customer service skills.
P.S. No orange juice (so got Fanta not orange juice and lemonade), initially charged twice for drinks in mix up as no bar staff working, no toilet paper in the ladies, did tell the staff at the beginning if the night but they clearly had other problems to deal with...not a great experience Strikes!

Don't waste your money or your time. The only two things to I can say about this place is the staff was very nice.

a great place for the summer holidays, we went along with some friends on an offer with a platter of food which was great. Even though it was very busy we still enjoyed ourselves.

Friday 24th July 2015 - Planet zoom has always struggled with service and hygiene and we only came here today because my friend came here as she doesn't drive. Waited at gate to get into soft play area nearly 15 mins (no exaggeration, if my friend hadn't already been in I would of walked out again ) while the other side of gate stood 6 other mums and their children angrily waiting to get out ! What looked like a manageress (hair tied up in bunch, black cardigan and flowery top) and manager (plain black top late 40's) stood behind counter chatting and laughing(she had her head on his chest at one point so I'm assuming they either a couple or very very close) and one poor young lad answering telephone and dealing with bowling guests trying to do it all by himself. In the end one of the mums waiting to get out shouted "excuse me! Open the gate" Once in you could see that they wasn't prepared for the first rainy Friday of the summer holidays as the place was extremely dirty with plates of half eaten food and drink cups everywhere! Which attracted loads of flies flying around. I watched several people complain regarding waiting too long for food and demanding their money back, I also witnessed food being taken back as things missing. One poor girl behind counter trying to serve, clear, deal with complaints. (You could see how fed up she was) Toilets are disgusting, these weren't checked or looked after the whole 2 hours we were stuck here. From what we saw today you can see management have given up as it's closing in September so they don't need to bother anymore. But to be honest I don't think it will be missed when it closes as treetops is only down the road and is the complete opposite to this.

So on Friday I took my boy with some friends and their children to planet zoom. We arrived about 10.30. We got in sat down for a little while and then decided that my friend and I wanted the full English breakfast. My friend ordered hers first. Fine. Went to order mine. Sorry we have ran out of all breakfast. I couldn't join my friend with her meal. Surely you'd check the evening before what stock you have left and be prepared for the morning. No clearly not. The manager had to then run to tesco's across the road and buy products to cook the food. They should be more prepared. Especially if we were the fist customers in that morning and they ran out of breakfast they was advertising.
It only gets worse from here I'm afraid. Knot only did I not have the breakfast but it took a very long time to come out. I decided that I would like a sharing platter to share with my other friend. So we ordered that. My friend wanted a fanta and a coffee. My coffee came. Hers didn't. Must have forgotten hey? My friend also ordered a lunch box for her little girl. Our Sharing platter came about 30 mins after ordering it. It then took another 30 odd mins for the little girls lunch box. Wow. Terrible. It was only a sandwich, packet of crisps and an apple. Poor girl was hungry. Why did that take so long? A child's lunch was last. By this time I had already made my mind up that I would make the extra mile and got to Tree Tops. They there have better service. Better food to offer children.
Also the toilets where awful. They had a drinking tap in the ladies. Surely that's really bad hygiene? Doors didn't shut. Baby changer was disgusting.
This place has been neglected. Who ever has taken over has their job cut out for them. The manager must be ashamed of this place.
