Had a great day out with our dog too. Staff were incredibly polite and friendly. Safety briefing was concise and to the point. Our guide also tried to help plan a route for us that would work given the tide times and what we wanted to see / visit.
We spent a little over 5 hours on the water (strong headwinds and big waves caused the little boat to struggle to keep up the pace) but even though we were late, John was very understanding and didn’t charge us any extra.
10/10 would recommend.

We rented a boat for three hours, we went up the river towards Truro. The pleasant man gave us safety instructions and what not to do and what to look out for along the way.
My partner has his own boat and has done a coastguard safety course so knew the basic rules of the sea, and I was glad he did as the waterways surrounding Falmouth were busy!! Boats come and go from all directions and you need to have your wits about you all the time. It was a hot sunny day and it was perfect weather for boating so everyone was out.
The boat we hired was in good condition and we had no problems with it, the water went from calm to a bit choppy in places and the boat dealt with this well, I wouldn’t want to be out in it on a rough day though!
We received a warm friendly welcome on our return and our deposit was given back to us. I would highly recommend this to anyone who has some sailing experience,.

If you’re in Falmouth you have to do this . It’s great fun, excellent value for money, the staff are outstanding, knowledgeable, helpful friendly, awesome!

This was a really great experience. We hired just for 1 hour because we had our little one with us but it was more than enough time to zip over to St
Mawes do a few circles whilst looking at the town from the boat and come back over at a leisurely pace. The team were really friendly and our daughter loved the big wooden high five before we left (this will make sense if you have little one's with you). They told us all the important safety aspects and there is a number to call in the unlikely event you need them to come out and help you. We have never operated any type of motorised boat but these are very simple and easy to use with a but of common sense only. This was definitely a highlight of our trip to Cornwall.

We had such a great time on our 2 hour outing.
Dave was a super instructor setting out our trip and pointing out things to see (although we didn't see the seal!!).
The water was a little lumpy (wind and tide), but the boats was very stable and we didn't have any worry.
Highly recommend hiring for a minimum of 2 hours, but if you are getting off and visiting, then look at 3 to 4 hours.

We have had many enjoyable boat trips over the years and this one was just as good.
We had the usual briefing beforehand on how to operate the boat and off we went. A lovely way to spend an hour or two!

Briefing before hand, concise clear and great sense of humour when approp by both guys!
Previously we d booked a hour hire afew years ago. My partner who fancies being a Capitan of his own vessel enjoyed so much I booked for 3 hours this time.
We both loved every minute taking in the places of interest, the other boats and general beauty of the area.
The boat is easy to drive a d feels completely safe.
I'm sure we might go back a 3rd time in the future

Hired a boat for a four hour drive, 2 adults and 2 kids. Instructions from the gents were simple but comprehensive.

Absolutely bummer. The staff (old guy) treatment was inhumane.
Good price with clean boat but the way the staff spoke to us was very rude and SWEARING when we had kids onboard wasn’t acceptable.

What a little gem to find. Thoroughly enjoyed driving these little 8hp powered boats, bobbing up and down in the River Fal, whilst ambling upstream to take in the sights, picturesque setting, and other boat users. With a two hour hire, we managed to get pretty far inland, before turning back to head for the harbour.
Staff are really good as well, very informative with clear instructions on the do's and don'ts along with safety protocols. Two hours was the perfect amount of time for us. Be aware the seas at the entrance to the river can get quite choppy and these little boats get buffeted around a bit, so make sure you have your sea legs on!!

I am spending the weekend+ in Falmouth 17/1-1/2 do in need to book in advance for a 4 hour self drive or just turn up on the day? I am an experience sailor but just want to troll up the Fal or go over to ST Mawes Met office forecast seems good at the moment Thanks David J
