Every time we come to Cornwall, we visit this fantastic theatre group. This year we were lucky enough to see the performance ofLes Miserables and it was as good as ever. The only problem we found was that the theatre was not totally full, it is such a shame as the performance deserved a full audience.
Keep up the good work and looking forward to coming back in the future.

Honestly I was so taken aback by the quality of talent these kids have! This show was better than some shows I’ve watched at larger famous venues. Absolutely fab!

We saw Les Mis and Annie 2 days apart! They were both amazing and all of our family absolutely loved it. Great value for money. The staff are always very friendly, kind and helpful too. It’s one of the things we always look forward to so much when holidaying in St. Ives. Can’t wait for next year!

We love Les Mis and when we saw it was being shown in St Ives we jumped at the chance. Although regular visitors to the St Ives area we had not visited the the theatre before so was a little bit sceptical about a kids performance. Any scepticism was soon dismissed and we were blown away by the whole performance! I think as it is classed a the 'school edition' we were expecting a shorter show but not so - the full show and so professionally performed!! The theatre itself (an old chapel) is also lovely with super supporting volunteers giving you the full 'West End' experience offering ice creams, snacks, drinks, merchandise, huge show programmes and even a raffle - they even all wear sparkly jackets. Well done Kids R Us.....we'll definitely be back!!!!!

We visited last year to see Matilda and returned this year to see Annie. It was fabulous, thoroughly enjoyed by 3 generations. We will be back next year

Every year we make sure to see the latest Kidz R Us production and they never, ever disappoint. Their performance of Les Miserables was phenomenal and deserved the whole house standing ovation it got. On top of that half the cast were also in a production of Annie which was absolutely terrific and highlighted some real stars in the making. The standard is so high it’s easy to forget that these are children giving stellar performances. Go and see a show and support this wonderful theatre company, you won’t regret it.

This is us the best production I have seen at Kidz R Us in the last few years . I know Les Miserables well so knew what to expect . What I didn’t expect was the quality of the cast and I mean every single one of them . Outstanding !

First class performance of Les Mis last night to a full house.The lead roles and chorus were outstanding each and everyone. You all deserved the rapturous applause and standing ovation.Kidz r us offers opportunities to all children and not just a selected few which means there are many new friendships made.I dreamed a dream my favourite song if I have to pick one but really it was just amazing from start to finish.Well done Phil and team.

If you have never been to Kidz r us, a premier attraction in St Ives, and imagine it is am dram for kids, think again! The energy, imagination and commitment that go into their productions are truly remarkable and inspirational. Their les miserables doesn't pull any punches and leaves not a dry eye in the house as it moves from sparkling comedy to darkest tragedy. The staging, costumes and music are polished and in places innovative, the adult volunteers are great, but it is the sheer talent and professionalism of the young cast, from around 7-17 years old, that thrills and amazes. Some of the cast were truly outstanding, all were superb. Thank you all for a most delightful and memorable evening.

Heck, the talented actors at 'Kids R Us' just cannot be ameteurs aged 11 to 18!
Every single one of them commanded their parts with such accomplishment, including the many supporting cast. None of them wasted a moment, acting convincingly all the time.
They must have brilliant Directors who had helped them ALL master all the small discreet gestures that convinced the audience that this was a professional show.
The lead parts put in such emotion and musically were spot on.
Overall the production was great entertainment and amazing value for money.
I would also add that sweets and refreshments sold within the theatre are better priced than normal venue offerings.
Good luck to all the cast for brilliant futures and may Kids R Us carry on doing such good work..."It only goes to show what little people can do!

Is disenchanted appropriate for young children (7 and 9)

Although the content is quite racy at times, much of the innuendo goes over the heads of very young children. However it may be a difficult conversation for parents after a performance trying to explain why the princesses were behaving the way they did and sung what they did.😁😁

I think Mary Poppins would be the best one, and maybe get a seat on the end of a row if you need to have a walk around outside if your little one needs a brief leg stretch!
I’d say the stalls for that reason.

Are you better sitting in stalls or balcony? Never been to this theatre before.

St Ives Theatre seats 321, so isn't too big. All seats provide a good view of the stage. Downstairs in the stalls you are closer to the action and feel more a part of it. Up in the balcony you get a better view of the staging, looking down on the action. Give the box office a call to discuss your specific requirements.
